Background

From as early as I can remember, I spent all my free time fishing. Being raised in the country, I had close access to ponds, creeks, and area lakes.

As an adult, my professional career was as a research and development technician for such companies as Texas Instruments, Haggar Apparel Company, Abbott Labs, Varo Semiconductor, and Gabriel Enterprises. Analytical thinking and being detailed oriented is a necessity in these positions. I apply these same scientific techniques to my fishing.

In 1974, I started making soft plastic baits for bass and crappie fishing. In the late seventies, while working at Texas Instruments, I made hand tied crappie jigs and fished in my spare time. The demand for my jigs was too great for me to keep up. I then started making and selling plastic jigs, eventually having distribution in nine states.

In 1983 I sold my company. In 1984 I helped in the development of a live action mechanical bass lure for another company.

I spent over 30 years developing my skills, techniques, and knowledge of jig fishing for crappie and other fish species.

I fished in Regional Bass Tournaments for a few years. I enjoy the excitement of competitive fishing, but I much prefer being a fishing guide and taking people out so they can catch fish.

My greatest joy is passing my knowledge and skills to people with less experience. If I can help someone become a better fisherman, then I have done my job well.

I provide all equipment, snacks, life jackets, and non alcoholic beverages, Client must provide their own fishing license and proper clothing. Customers may bring their own alcoholic beverages.

Trips are available for morning, afternoon, or night fishing. We can fish for what is biting or for any species you wish to pursue. I specialize in Sand Bass, Hybrid Stripers, Crappie, and Bream.

I guide for individuals or family groups. I strongly support and encourage people to take kids fishing. Children are our future. Let’s give them a fun and positive experience they can cherish for a lifetime.

Corporate or company trips, large groups, clubs, church groups provide all fishing equipment, and will enlist other guides to help meet your needs. I will assist in finding accommodations, according to availability. At least 30 days in advance notice is required.

For corporations and business I will provide my services for your clients on a one time, or long term contract basis, with emphasis on featuring your companies attributes. I can’t sell your product, but I can present your company in a positive fashion.
