Broken Spur Whitetails is a hunting and fishing guide service based in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The Broken Spur Ranch in Kerrville, Texas, is our home and main ranch. It is a 417 acre high fenced ranch loaded with whitetails and exotics along with a 7,000 sq. ft. Hacienda Style home.  Our Lodging here at the Broken Spur Ranch is top notch all the way. We have 4 star accommodations and good 'ol Southern hospitality to go along with it.  We also have 12 other ranches in Texas to hunt, with a total of over 50,000 acres of land.

All Hunts Include:

• Two to Three day hunts. Professionally guided morning and evening hunts each day.

  Spring Gobbler hunts are offered at a limited availability for two full days and all accommodations.

Rolling hills covered with live oaks, green pastures and abundant wildlife characterize this 2680 acre ranch .

Los Encinos Ranch is one of the few ranches in South Texas covered by thousands of Live Oak Trees. There are also mesquite flats and open pastures with over 30 ponds which provide great habitat for the native species which include: Whitetail Deer, Rio Grande Turkeys, Javelina, Bobcats, Coyotes and Wild Hogs.

In addition, 350 acres have been set aside for exotic animals, including Axis Deer, Aoudad Sheep, Blackbuck Antelope, Fallow Deer, Scimitar Horned Oryx, Wildebeest, and Elk.

Ranch facilities include a ranch house along with a 4 bedroom, 2 bath lodge overlooking a 2 acre fishing lake, a lighted rifle range, large patio with campfire ring and BBQ pit.

The JN Exotic Game Ranch is located approximately 20 miles south of Rocksprings, Texas or 45 miles north of Brackettville in Edwards County. The terrain is rolling brush country to deep canyons. The ranch is about 1200 acres that is game fenced and is under game management.

Because we have some of the most majestic animals in the world, you’re sure to enjoy your hunting adventure on the JN RANCH. Using our careful game management program, we have produced magnificent, healthy trophy animals guaranteed to make you the envy of all your friends.

Part of your full service hunt is comfortable quarters. Bedrooms are semiprivate with two beds per room. Linens are provided. Bathrooms are adjoining and supplies such as soap, towels, etc. are supplied. The house has a large back porch overlooking a magnificent view of the ranch. The ranch is equipped with a large walk-in cooler, ice machine, and freezers for your use. Other amenities available are fishing, skeet, target practice, photo safari, satellite TV, and Mexico is only 75 miles for those who wish to cross the border.

When you return to the lodge after your big game hunt, you can have your game sent to a local taxidermist for mounting, while you kick back, relax and let us do the rest! With our deluxe accommodations, you’re sure to enjoy your stay here.  All meals are prepared by the proprietor’s cook with a touch of country charm. Palmetto Guide Service is a full time professional outfitter specializing in freshwater fishing and waterfowl hunting.   Palmetto Guide Service offers mallard, wood duck and teal hunting on the Trinity River bottoms and Navasota River bottoms. We offer Snow goose and pintail  hunting on the Katy Prairie region southwest of Houston.

The Trinity and Navasota river bottoms and Katy Prairie, Texas are  in the heart of the central flyway and annually winter one of the largest waterfowl populations in The USA.  We hunt a large variety of puddle ducks, diving ducks and geese.

Duck Hunts

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Licensed Professional Guide Service Serving East Texas and the Katy Prairie.  Mallards, Wood Ducks, Teal, Pintails, and a variety of puddle ducks are common to the Trinity River and Navasota River bottoms.   Occasionally a goose or a diving duck is taken.   We concentrate our Mallard and Wood Duck hunts in the flooded timber, ox bows and flats off of the Trinity River and Navasota River bottoms, near Huntsville, a short drive north of Houston.  River hunts are all boat accessed on public property.

We have access to thousands of acres of private property on the Katy Prairie region southwest of Houston where the duck hunting is best known for Pintails, Teal, Widgeons and Gadwalls.

We specialize in small groups, generally no more than 3 persons per guide, with a 2 person minimum required.  Larger groups can be accommodated.

All hunts include: Professional Guide, Trained Retriever, Pre-set blind, natural blind, or boat blind, decoys. All hunts are guaranteed pre-scouted hunt area.

Goose Hunts

Licensed professional guide service, serving East Texas and the Katy Prairie.  Palmetto Guide Service offers fully guided goose hunts on the Katy Prairie region, southwest of Houston.   Millions of Snow, Ross, White Fronted, and Canada geese winter here annually. We have access to thousands of acres of private property including rice, corn-stubble, rye grass, and flooded roosts, with no over-crowding or excessive hunting pressure.

All hunts are professionally guided and pre-scouted, generally with 2 guides to help with decoys and equipment.  We use ATV's Trailer and 4x4 vehicle as needed to get to prime spots.  We use a variety of decoys as conditions dictate, including wind socks, kites, flyers, shells and motion decoys.    We generally set 250 - 800 decoys or more depending on conditions.  We also are known to be on the cutting edge of decoy and blind research/technology.   Also, we are not afraid to use a few tricks.

Goose Hunts Include an Experienced Guide, 4x4 trucks, ATV and Trailers, Trained Retriever and Decoys.

Moody Ranch Outfitters offers Deer , Duck, Dove, Quail, Hog, and Varmint Hunts as well as Fishing excursions for Bass and Catfish on our 5000+ acre ranch in central Texas. Along with hunting we also offer a Sporting Clay Course and Lodge facilities for your next family or corporate gathering. Our Lodge can accommodate up to 22 overnight guests.

Moody Ranch Outfitters offers over 5,000+ acres of exciting and beautiful hunting property with rolling hills, flooded timber, and prairies in the Navasota River bottom.  Located in Historic Grimes County, Moody Ranch Outfitters offers you the opportunity to hunt standing marshes in low water lying areas. These areas are prime locations for some of the best fowl hunting, deer and wild hog hunting around.  White tail deer are native and are easily found here on our low-fenced ranch. 

During season we often offer deer specials and or hog specials especially for youth hunters. Corporate or bulk packages of 10 or 20 hunts may be purchased, depending on availablity.  Hunt here at Moody Ranch and never have to take the time to fill a feeder or worry about buying or building a stand or all the other expenses and frustrations that come from other hunters on your lease that make your deer hunting a burden! 

If Upland Fowl is your game then come on over and check out our 600+ acre upland prairie where we hunt pen-raised Quail.   We take pride in that our hunts are so real that you would hardly notice that you are on a pen-raised hunt.  Good dogs and excellent guides make for a great hunt!  A 10-station Sporting Clay Range where you get 50 shots per round is avaiable year-round!  Stations include fliers and rabbits!

On Site accommodations for guests of Moody Ranch Outfitters are centrally located and include the Moody Family Homestead and the restored school house that we refer to as the Lodge Complex. The 98+ year old ranch style home and 100 year-old school house are located on the Gibbons creek bottom and are completely restored and updated to include central heat and air. With plenty of space to unwind you will enjoy a large screened in porch with ceiling fans, 60 X 42 pavilion, or satellite television. But your favorite spot might be on the oversized front porch where you can sit and enjoy the end of the day watching the sunset on the Gibbons Creek Bottom. Connected to the house and the Lodge Complex by a covered walkway is an air conditioned Mess Hall where we prepare all meals for you in a relaxed country atmosphere.

Hi, I am Captain Russell Pilzner, owner of Russell Pilzner's Fowl Play Guide Service. I have been hunting and fishing the Port O'Connor and Seadrift area for over nine years. I enjoy hunting/fishing with families and children as well as the die-hard hunters and anglers. I am U.S.C.G. licensed and a member of Ducks Unlimited® , CCA, and the Coastal Bend Guides Association.

     I specialize in duck hunting the San Antonio Bay System for Redheads, Pintails and other diver ducks. I also fish the Port O'Connor and San Antonio Bay Systems for trout, redfish and flounder.

WHAT TO EXPECT

    When hunting with Captain Russell, I will give you an enjoyable four hours of morning or afternoon hunting on the beautiful bay flats of the San Antonio Bay System.  We will be hunting for Redheads, Pintails, Widgeons, and other diver ducks.

     I expect nothing of my hunters except to have a good time and be prepared to shoot some ducks.   I take care of all necessary preparations such as, loading the boat, putting out and picking up the decoys, and retrieving all birds.

    The ducks will be retrieved by one of my two fully trained labs.  Shyleigh is a beautiful eight year old chocolate lab with six full years under her belt.  My new four year old yellow lab, Warrior, will be experiencing his third year on the water. With his family background and his desire to please, it is always a pure delight to watch him work. 

WAYS WE WILL BE HUNTING

    We will have several types of blinds to choose from depending on the flight pattern of the birds.  The types of blinds we will be hunting out of range from sink blinds, custom built blinds, all the way to portable blinds.

    We will be hunting over small or large spreads of top quality G&H Decoys.   The only items you will need to bring or get for your trip are your Valid Texas Hunting License including your Federal Duck Stamp. Licenses and stamps or available for out of state persons at 1-800-TX-LIC-4U.The only items you will need are gun, shells, waders, and camouflage clothing.

Sprigs and Specks Guide Service operates from Port O'Connor, Texas. We provide full time professional guide services for trout, redfish, flounder and migratory waterfowl. Sprigs and Specks Guide service offers some of the best fishing and hunting found on the Texas coast at an affordable price for the guide service and accommodations. 

Capt. Scott Hataway enjoys taking hunters out on an early morning duck and goose hunting trip. Because of the migratory waterfowl migrating patterns, which take them through this area, this is one of the best areas in the world for duck and goose hunting. Pintails, Widgeon, Gadwall, Redheads, Bluebills all inhabit our waters. With duck blinds all over the bay and backwater marshes with grass blinds, you're sure to have a good duck hunt. We can accommodate most needs either with a comfortable duck blind or by boat in the backwater marshes.
 
Customers should bring their hunting licenses, guns, and ammunition. You should wear camo gear. Ducks and Geese will be cleaned to your satisfaction.

Nueces Canyon Lodge was developed to take advantage of the tremendous white wing and mourning dove concentrations that Central Texas offers. (TTHA)

The accommodations consist of four ranch style homes.  Three are 3 bedroom/3 private baths, and the fourth is located by the river and sleeps 10 with 2 bathrooms.  We can service up 40 hunters at a time. The Upper House is well suited for larger groups and provides a sitting or meeting room. The Lower House accommodates smaller groups and couples.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at our new 2000 square foot restaurant along with our open complimentary bar. In addition to other amenities we have satellite television, pool and card tables and access to the Nueces River for fishing, swimming or relaxing.

When you arrive at the lodge on the first day, you are taken to your room to get settled in. A casual lunch and social mixer is served at the restaurant to provide you a chance to meet and greet your fellow hunters and our staff.  Orientation is provided before you leave for your first hunt. 

Upon return from the hunt, your birds will be tended to and you will be given time to freshen up before dinner.
