I have been a fishing guide on Lake Conroe since 1997, fishing for all types of fish from Catfish. Crappie, Black Bass, and Hybrid Stripers.  For several years now the Hybrid Striper population has been great on Lake Conroe and I'm doing my best to catch them all!  I have caught thousands of them and hope to catch at least a million or more before I get to old.  I take all age and experience levels for a great day of fishing.

Joe Joslin has fished Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Reservoirs for over 30 years and has been a full-time licensed guide since 1998. He specializes in Largemouth bass and fishes most all of Rayburn and the southern one half of Toledo which many feel harbors more than its share of lunker bass.

He has landed six bass over 10 pounds and his largest bass to date is an 11 pound 8 ounce beauty that was caught in the Texas Island area of south Toledo. His most recent double digit bass was caught last November and weighed 10.2 pounds and it too was caught on south Toledo.

In addition to guiding, Joe is a frequent tournament angler, outdoor writer for several newspapers/outdoor magazines and numerous websites. Joslin also frequently leads fishing seminars.

Joslin is based out of Indian Creek which is located on the southwest corner of Toledo Bend Lake on the Texas side which also is about 30 minutes from Rayburn.

If I can put you in bow range of a giant alligator gar then you can bet your bottom dollar that I can put you in the middle of them with a rod and reel to! So grab your camera and sunscreen and lets go fishing where the big fish are.

Lake Conroe is located about 30 miles north of Houston off of I-45 North.  We fish out of beautiful Seven Coves Marina and Resort located on FM 830 off of I-45, just N. of Conroe.  Waterfront condo rentals are available for out of town guests.

I have been catfishing on Lake Conroe since 1980 and know Lake Conroe like the back of my hand.  I have caught literally thousands of catfish out of Lake Conroe over the years as a Lake Conroe fishing guide.  As seasoned Lake Conroe fishing guides we specialize in catching eating size catfish on rod and reel. Normally in the 1 to 5 pound range.  Channel and Blue catfish. Just right for the dinner table!

We take you out on Lake Conroe in style on a comfortable 24' or 28' covered pontoon boat rigged for catfishing.  We furnish everything you will need on your Catfish Killer catfishing trip:  All rods and reels, all fishing tackle, Famous Catfish Killer Cheese Dip Bait, and one polaroid picture upon request, of you and your catch to take home to brag about! 

All you will need to bring with you is a lunch and/or snack on full or half day trips and the beverage of your choice, a good size ice chest for your catfish and a 20# bag of ice to keep your catfish cool.
If you think you may need sunscreen, rain gear or a jacket for cool
mornings you are welcome to bring that too.  You will also need to have a Texas fishing license which is reguired by the State Of Texas,
which should be purchased in advance of your Lake Conroe guided fishing trip with one of our Lake Conroe fishing guides, at any Academy, Walmart or other sporting goods store nearest to you.  Under 17 don`t need a license.

TROPHY CATFISHING TRIPS ALSO AVAILABLE
We offer Trophy catfishing trips starting in October and go through May for people who would like to catch a monster catfish on our heavy duty rods and reels and heavy duty  tackle while drift fishing. We also normally set out 10 or 12 of our famous Catfish Killer Flagging Juglines sporting 3 hooks each and let them fish for the big ones for us while we drift fish for the Monster Catfish up to 60 or so pounds!!. We take the catfish off the juglines about every hour and bait them back up again during your trip.  We take bookings for guided fishing trips year round.

Our Guided trip will consist of a daytime gator gar hunt. We will provide all
gear and your choice of bows. You will have the choice of a recurve or a
compound. In your choice of compound bows we have, Browning,  
Barracuda, AMS, Fishhawk, or Onida. You may also bring your own. We
will be fishing from one of our several boats depending on river conditions.
We have two 18'x 8' Silver Dollar airboats ,and two trollering at 16' and 17'.  
We will be fishing the Trinity River out of Palestine TX., and fishing private
lakes and oxbows off the river. We also have sole exclusive rights to fish the

Known by most as the Lake Conroe Lady Angler, Debby Watson has been a guide on Lake Conroe since 1992. While all of Debby's clients enjoy their fishing trips, she is especially popular among the younger fishermen, women and beginners.

Bass Fishing on Lake Conroe is improving every year. The numbers of large fish being caught and brought into the marinas every month tell the story of how the Restocking Programs and the Catch and Release Programs are increasing the numbers and size of bass caught on the Lake. Experienced anglers can enjoy catching fish year round. Fishermen book trips with Debby prior to the Big Bass Tournaments on the lake to learn what areas will consistently produce bigger fish!

Crappie Fishing starts to kick in around the end of February as the fish ready for the spawn. Then in late April the crappie move to the main lake. During the months of April, May and early June, these slab crappie can be caught in great numbers. This is an excellent time to introduce youngsters or beginners to the fun of fishing. The action is great and the weather in normally comfortable. Crappie are caught almost year around on Lake Conroe and the lake is becoming one of the hottest Crappie fishing lakes in Texas.

White Bass and Hybrids are exciting fish to catch, especially when they stack up in great numbers around the humps, points and ridges in deep water. Starting the end of February the whites and hybrids will start to show up and the action can be really fast and exciting. During the months of March and April it is not uncommon to catch large numbers of these fish in a very short period of time.

Catfish fishing on Lake Conroe is good almost year around. When the crappie bite slows on hot summer days, the catfish seem to pick up the slack. This action is great for children. They love to reel these hard fighting critters up from the deep!
