Bay Fishing South Texas - Laguna Madre
Casting to Tailing Reds and Trout can't be adequately described, it has to be experienced!  We cruise the bays until we locate pods of Reds and Trout working Shrimp in the grass flats, which can be spotted from a distance because they usually drive shrimp into the air and the birds are diving on them.  Working our way upwind of these feeding pods we drift in closer then anchor the boat and wade to within casting distance.  Within a cast or two to the feeding pods and you're hooked up to some real exciting fishing!!!  Fly fishing, spinning or bait casting it's a BLAST!!!

We are the innovators and original operators of catamaran fishing vessels in Galveston. We offer everything from rod, reel and bait to electronic radar equipment.

We invite you to call for information or reservations for the following trips:

·         Deep Sea Fishing: A 12-Hour Trip (7:30am to 7:30pm). All tackle and squid bait furnished.

·         Bay & Jetty Fishing: A 4-Hour Trip (8am to Noon and 1:30pm to 5:30pm). All tackle and squid bait furnished.

·         Deep Sea/Rig Fishing: An 8-Hour Trip (7am to 3pm). In lieu of the 4-hour Bay trip on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (as demand dictates) during the Summer months. Tackle and squid bait furnished.

The Capt. John is a 75 foot long by 27 foot wide all aluminum catamaran. It is Galveston's fastest and most modern party boat. Its cruising speed is around 22 knots (25 mph) when fully loaded. The extended operating range available on day trips, with its great speed, will enable the Capt. John to fish additional areas that are not presently accessible. Day trips will take up to 83 fishermen offshore, while extended length trips of 36 hours to 60 hours will be able to accommodate up to 40. Bunks for the 40 fishermen make these overnight trips a comfortable reality.

Calm sea conditions and excellent year-round fishing are what the Gulf of Mexico along the coast of Texas is well known for.  Galveston is the perfect take-off point to access and enjoy this awesome fishery. Depending on the season there is always different species to catch.

Captain Sean has fished the Gulf for over 30 years and knows where and how to catch these fish. The Captain is also a Marine Biologist, and can help you, by helping with correct fish species identifications, and address various habitat questions you may have.

The 42’ Venture Fish-N-Diver travels at up to 34 knots and offers a huge fishing deck area. She is rigged for fishing and comfort. It easily accommodates up to 6 anglers.

The Freedom is a 38 ft Delta which was specifically designed for charter fishing. We carry groups of up to six passengers. It has two turbocharged caterpillar diesel engines, private restroom, air-conditioning, fish finder, GPS, radar, safety equipment and lots of fishing room!!! 

Bait and Tackle is furnished at no extra charge. We hold valid federal NMFS Charter Boat Permits. Our captains are licensed USCG 100 ton captains with over 20 yrs. experience and are licensed Texas fishing guides.

Capt. Steve fishes Matgorda Bay, Espiritu Santo Bay, San Antonio Bay and the back lakes of these bays.  He will cater to all anglers - from Corporate to just some friends going fishing.  Fish in comfort from a 22' Mosca Tunnel V Bay Radier with a 150 HP Yamaha,.

HE SPECIALIZES IN FISHING LIVE BAIT AND ARTIFICIAL LURES.  FISHING FOR ALL SPECIES OF FRESH AND SALT WATER FISH.  HE CAN ACCOMODATE WADE, DRIFT AND BOAT FISHING.  HE CAN MAKE YOUR HUNTING TRIP MEMORABLE, WHETHER HUNTING WATERFOWL OR DEER.

No trip to the Texas Gulf Coast is complete without an exciting saltwater fishing trip.  Here's your chance to find out just how exciting Galveston or Matagorda Bay fishing can be!  We cater to the experienced and novice angler alike.   Newcomers to the art of saltwater fishing are always welcome with instruction available.  Whether it's a group of friends, business clients or a family outing, we provide clients with a fun filled, safe, saltwater fishing adventure on Galveston or Matagorda Bays.

Captain Darrell Adell is USCG / TPW licensed and has been fishing the Texas Gulf Coast for over 20 years. His specialty is wade and drift fishing for trophy trout and redfish on the Galveston and Matagorda Bay Complexes.

Capt. Adell runs a 2004 JH Performance B-240, powered by a 2005 200hp Honda 4-stroke motor and equipped with Garmin GPS, VHF Radio and Cell phone. You will enjoy some of Texas finest fishing grounds aboard a smooth and dry riding well equipped 24 ft. JH Performance boat.

Full Day 6:30am-3:00pm
This trip includes fishing up to 30 miles offshore; Trolling, bottom, wreck and structure fishing,   targeting Kingfish, Ling, Spanish Mackerel and Snapper.

Deepwater 5:30am-4:30pm
Fishing 30 to 50 miles offshore, consisting of trolling, wreck and bottom fishing, structure fishing, drift fishing on weed lines, targeting Dorado, Wahoo, Kingfish, larger Snapper, Grouper and more.

Half-day, approximately 5 hours
Half-day excursions are normally week days during the summer months.  Fishing up to 10 miles offshore (license required) consisting of trolling & drifting for Kingfish and Spanish Mackerel (summer) and bottom fishing near shore structure (winter).

The boat is a 27' World Class Catamaran specializing in offshore trolling, drift and bottom fishing with ample room for up to 6 people. Powered with 2 x 200HP This vessel can move- 37 MPH Cruise 54 MPH top. Forget the old Sports Fishers that make you endure a 6 hour boat ride with only 3 hours of fishing. This twin hull boat gets you to the fish FAST! it offers a smooth, stable ride that you just don't get in a single hull boat.  And YES - we still have an enclosed private toilet.

We have a good time fishing.  Let the wind blow because we don't have any cares in the world.  Cap'n Bennie will put you on the fish. Sometimes it's Reds or Trout, sometimes it's Drum. He generally always finds something on beautiful Baffin Bay.  Known for its trophy size trout, Baffin Bay has hidden underwater "Rocks" that protect the fish and let's them forage for food. The secret is knowing where those rocks lie.  Cap'n Bennie Whisler has a few other ideas as well that will put you on the fish.  Half day or whole day, bait or lures, you will have the time of your life fishing Baffin Bay.
You must have a Texas Fishing License with a saltwater stamp if you are 17 years or older. Check the regulations to be sure you will be in compliance.
