We can offer you guided fishing trips for Red Fish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Tarpon, or other species. We have a brand new custom built 22’ boat designed to access the ‘skinniest’ water or cross the roughest bays safely.

If fly fishing is your thing, "Come fly with us", we also offer guided specialty fly fishing trips in the flats that are only accessible by airboat. There are also plenty of great places for wading and or Kayak fishing, so bring your gear!

Come enjoy a relaxing day of fishing on the South Texas Coast.  You will be fishing for Redfish, Spotted Trout, Black Drum, Flounder, and Sheepshead.  Let Capt. David Huntress, local full time professional guide with 30 years experience fishing in the Rockport area will show you how to catch some big fish.

Available for the 2012-2013 season on a year round lease, 776 acres in Llano County and only 20 minutes from Horseshoe Bay, for a group of 8 hunters, or preferably a corporate group.

Ranch has a hunter's cabin with A/C and heating, water, bathroom, shower, large kitchen, satellite TV's, front porch, firepit, game cleaning area, etc.

RV hookups are also at the compound as well if you want to go that route.

A major good water creek runs through one side of the ranch (which offers some fishing opportunities) and other season creeks traverse the property as well.

Captain Coufal began his fishing career fishing East and West bays in Matagorda Texas. This is where he had the opportunity to study fishing patterns throughout the years and hone his skills. He then had the opportunity to fish Rockport Texas and was instantly attracted to the vast bay systems that the area had to offer. The unique variety ranging from the deep shell reefs of San Antonio bay, the abundance of back lakes, to the always fish-able grass bottom of Estes flats, made for an easy decision to make Rockport his home. Rockport definitely provides the best opportunity for consistent fishing year-round than anywhere else on the Texas coast.

Fishing styles

Captain Coufal will always work hard to ensure that your outing will be a memorable one. He can accommodate all styles of fishing ranging from: wading with artificial lures, drifting with live bait, or anchoring up to ambush schooling redfish.

Blackland Outfitters is an independently owned and operated guide service located in northeast Texas, in the city of Bonham. We offer a range of services from dove hunting, varmint/predator hunting, bow fishing, and available upon request, hog hunts and snow goose hunts. We primarily specialize in waterfowl hunting. Blackland Outfitters has a vast range of properties covering several counties in north Texas. They vary from sloughs, wheat fields, corn fields, flooded timber creeks, large and small pools, and flooded bottom land. The areas in north Texas we hunt is located in the heart of the central flyaway, so we generally catch large numbers of waterfowl traffic during migration both ways.

Our large amount and diversification of properties allow for low pressure hunts which increases the chance for our clients to have successful hunts. Our primary focus is to allow our clients to come and hunt with us and enjoy not only the hunt, but also making lasting memories in the duck blind with fellow like-minded hunters who enjoy the heritage of hunting and what it represents.
