My home lake is Lake Lewisville in Denton County, just east of the City of Lewisville, and just minutes from Dallas, I also guide on Lake Ray Roberts. I  specialize in fishing for Hybrids, White Bass(sandies), and Black Bass. About the Guide

I grew up in Killeen, Texas where I learned to fish all of my local lakes.  Lake Belton and Lake Steelhouse in Bell County is where my fishing foundation was laid.  After moving to the DFW area in 1989, I started fishing many lakes like Lake Texoma, Grapevine, Fork, Ray Hubbard, Lavon,and Ray Roberts but came to love Lake Lewisville as it has became my home lake.

Over the years, I have learned that if you know the proper techniques, and when and how to apply them, you can become a successful angler on any lake or body of water.

I now live in Allen, Texas just a few minutes away from Lake Lewisville and Lake Ray Roberts. 

I am a professional licensed fishing guide, and I promise to share my knowledge of fishing using only the best equipment to provide you with a fishing trip of a life time.

High Personal Standards.
When you meet me, I will be clean shaven, comfortably but neatly dressed, and punctual. You will never hear me use profanity. I have never used alcohol, drugs, nor any tobacco products. I find such standards serve as a "least common denominator" to make men, women, or children, novices or experts feel at ease. Further, I go the extra expense, though not legally required, to carry liability insurance and remain CPR qualified, both for your protection. Such things help me communicate to you that I am a professional out to do the best I can to make your trip with me a memorable one.

I practice "catch, photograph, and release" only.
Due to the fact that I keep certified scales on the boat for weighing record class fish, we'll do our best to return both record and non-record fish to the water unharmed. Consistent, intelligent fishing pressure will negatively impact the fisheries resources of our local water bodies if catch and release is not practiced. Since most clients are visitors to Salado or Ft. Hood (and therefore without the means to clean, prepare, store, or cook fish), this conservation-minded policy rarely raises an eyebrow. It's a win-win!

Your fishing coach.
I love to teach people how to fish and how to fish better. If you tell me what you'd like to learn during your time on the water, I will make a point of it to coach you on that skill. Often requested topics include introductions to vertical jigging, marine electronics signal interpretation, fly casting, downrigging, throwing a cast net, using various kinds of knots and rigging, and various kinds of retrieves for locally effective artificial lures. For those just starting their fishing career, the fundamentals of casting, baiting hooks, and locating fish-holding bottom features and cover are also favorite topics. You should never consider yourself too inexperienced to choose me as your guide.

Customized Adventures.
If you've got something out of the ordinary in mind ... like bowfishing for gar, jugfishing for catfish, flycasting to carp or drum ... just let me know. I've probably done it and would be glad to introduce you to these pursuits. Sorry, no requests for ice fishing can be accommodated.

Experience the Best of Port Mansfield with Captains Tricia, Mike McBride and J.D.Whitley.  All bring years of on the water intensity and are out there  most days staying on top of 'em.  Skinny Water Adventures is about putting more 'sport' back into sport fishing, specializing in using only artificial lures and light tackle.

Capt. Tricia is a full time guide specializing in year 'round  lure fishing for trout & redfish, especially in the ultimate thrill of sight-casting to single large fish.  Her 21' Shallowsport will take you places that magazines are made of.

Besides wielding a pen, Mike's creativity with a rod has shown up in a few tournaments. Some of the more notable wins include a Rockport Amateur Troutmasters, Galveston Pro Troutmasters, and back to back Galveston's Best of the Best Plugger with Mark Holt.   Mike now shares his passion as a full time guide in Port Mansfield, TX.  A trip with 'McTrout' promises to be an adventure to remember.

Lake Conroe is located about 30 miles north of Houston off of I-45 North.  We fish out of beautiful Seven Coves Marina and Resort located on FM 830 off of I-45, just N. of Conroe.  Waterfront condo rentals are available for out of town guests.

I have been catfishing on Lake Conroe since 1980 and know Lake Conroe like the back of my hand.  I have caught literally thousands of catfish out of Lake Conroe over the years as a Lake Conroe fishing guide.  As seasoned Lake Conroe fishing guides we specialize in catching eating size catfish on rod and reel. Normally in the 1 to 5 pound range.  Channel and Blue catfish. Just right for the dinner table!

We take you out on Lake Conroe in style on a comfortable 24' or 28' covered pontoon boat rigged for catfishing.  We furnish everything you will need on your Catfish Killer catfishing trip:  All rods and reels, all fishing tackle, Famous Catfish Killer Cheese Dip Bait, and one polaroid picture upon request, of you and your catch to take home to brag about! 

All you will need to bring with you is a lunch and/or snack on full or half day trips and the beverage of your choice, a good size ice chest for your catfish and a 20# bag of ice to keep your catfish cool.
If you think you may need sunscreen, rain gear or a jacket for cool
mornings you are welcome to bring that too.  You will also need to have a Texas fishing license which is reguired by the State Of Texas,
which should be purchased in advance of your Lake Conroe guided fishing trip with one of our Lake Conroe fishing guides, at any Academy, Walmart or other sporting goods store nearest to you.  Under 17 don`t need a license.

TROPHY CATFISHING TRIPS ALSO AVAILABLE
We offer Trophy catfishing trips starting in October and go through May for people who would like to catch a monster catfish on our heavy duty rods and reels and heavy duty  tackle while drift fishing. We also normally set out 10 or 12 of our famous Catfish Killer Flagging Juglines sporting 3 hooks each and let them fish for the big ones for us while we drift fish for the Monster Catfish up to 60 or so pounds!!. We take the catfish off the juglines about every hour and bait them back up again during your trip.  We take bookings for guided fishing trips year round. 

Meet Chris Jackson, Lead Guide:
Fishing experience from the Pacific to the Atlantic, as well as Belize.  I'm a full time fishing guide and owner of Action Angler & Outdoor Center on the Guadalupe River. My fly shop opened in May of 2002. I have over 30 years of fly fishing experience, which started on stock ponds in north east Texas. I caught my first trout on the fly in Colorado at age 12 while hiking the headwaters of the Rio Grande. I continue to fish Colorado at least once a year, and have fishing experience in numerous waters stretching from California to Maine and all the way down to Key West. My only experience out of the country is Belize. I'm always looking to share my experience with other anglers looking to fish the hill country, and learn from other anglers as well. (TXPW licensed fishing guide, and Colorado float guide certified)

Action Angler & Outdoor Center is the only stream side fly shop and guide service in Texas.  Action Angler has been in business since 2001, and we pride ourselves on providing customers with the best-quality products and personal service.  We offer an intro to fly fishing course, casting lessons, float trips (fishing or nature tour) on various Texas rivers, and a fly fishing guide school. (please inquire by email or phone about trips or lessons not listed on our online booking system) Weekday and Sunday afternoon Trips on the Guadalupe from December to April are ideal.

Guaranteed Guide Service has been providing priceless outdoor memories since 1997. We take great pride in our service and strive to provide our customers with a fun, friendly day of fishing. Unlike many of our competitors, our guides treat our customers with dignity and respect. Never will a member of your party be chastised for a missed fish or an errant cast. Our typical trip departs on or about 7:00 am from the dock and returns around noon. We provide all the bait and tackle necessary. Our boats are large safe vessels equipped with the latest gear available. After taking a stringer picture, we fillet and bag your catch. All you really need to bring is a valid Texas Fishing License, snacks and drinks, a cooler to transport your catch home, and a desire to battle some big hard fighting fish.

In the last 24 months Guaranteed Guide Service has fished over 500 guided trips.  Over those 24 months our customers limited-out on their target fish 86% of the time.  Of the remaining 14%... less than 1% of our customers returned to the dock with No Fish.  However,  If your group falls into that "less that 1%" category, your next trip is No Charge and we will furnish your group with an overnight  stay in our new cabins, again no charge. 

Richland-Chambers Reservoir is located 12 miles East of Corsicana, TX. This beautiful 44,600 acre lake was impounded in 1987. The Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife has liberally stocked RC with Hybrid Stripers since the lake's impoundment. It is common for our groups to catch their limit ( 5 each over 18") of these hard fighting fish . Also, many of our customers have taken Trophy Hybrid Stripers ( 10 lbs and over) to the Taxidermist.

Fairfield Lake is a small cooling reservoir for the Brown Generating Plant owned by TXU. This 2500 acre lake sustains water temperatures above 60 degrees year round. This constant warm water enables the TDP&W to stock Red Drum in this small lake. Red Drum are typically found in saltwater bays from North Carolina to Mexico. However, these fish thrive in the warm waters of Fairfield Lake. In fact, the state record freshwater Red Drum was taken from Lake Fairfield in the late 1990's, (38 lbs.). Our customers regularly boat fish over 20 lbs. and usually catch their limit, (3 per person minimum 20").

Marty has been fishing on Lake Texoma since he was big enough to hold a rod in his hand.  He has been fishing for striped bass since their introduction into Lake Texoma in 1965.  Marty is a full time licensed guide.  His number one concern is the customer.

Marty's guide service on Lake Texoma uses top-of-the-line fishing tackle, rods and reels for stripers. His charter boat is a 2003 23 ft. Falcon with a 350 hp inboard.
