JJ Ducharme of Brackettville, Texas, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 23 pounds Saturday to win the EverStart Series Texas Division on Lake Amistad with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 63 pounds. For his victory, Ducharme earned $35,000.

Lamar University's Danny Iles, Hemphill, Texas, and Justin Royal, Vidor, Texas won the National Guard FLW College Fishing South Conference event on Lake Amistad Saturday with five bass weighing 21 pounds, 11 ounces. The victory earned the team $5,000. The win also helped them advance to the South Conference Regional Championship.

The inaugural year is behind the Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) and it is now time for a new year, a new tournament schedule, signing returning sponsors, and introducing new sponsors.

The University of Oklahoma team of Paul Muzljakovic, Wagoner, and Tyler Nipper, Norman, won the National Guard FLW College Fishing Texas Division event on Lake Texoma Saturday with four bass weighing 10 pounds, 13 ounces.

National Guard FLW College Fishing is headed to Lake Texoma May 14 for the last of four stops in the Texas Division. Up to 40 college teams will be competing for a top award of $10,000 to be split between the school and bass fishing club; $7,500 for bass club and $2,500 for their school.

The CCA Texas Habitat Today for Fish Tomorrow (HTFT) program continues to pursue its aggressive goal to develop reefing projects in state waters all along the coast and has announced plans to drop 4,000 concrete culverts in a designated 160-acre reefing site off Port Mansfield this summer.
