Camp Pet
Summary:

This is a buck that since birth had a deformed jaw. We saw it as a fawn. During drought years we guides fed it when ever we saw him. A couple years we didn't think he would make it. Other deer don't care much for him. This is the first year his horns have regressed. 8.5 years old. We see him all over the ranch. this is in the front yard this morning....

More thoughts.

When I say "the clients don't understand" I mean that when a deer like that one steps out and he wants it, and can't have it, some get upset. On our place, money can't buy a buck that is not ready to harvest, no matter how big he is. So to answer your last question, we can give you an estimate of what we think an available deer will cost in the blind while hunting. It is the ultimate responsibility of the hunter after the trigger is pulled. We do out best to get close. There will be some deer that cannot be taken while hunting with us. But once you see the caliber of deer that we have, it will be easier to understand our system works. Just come several years and watch them grow until they are ready to be harvested. Like I said earlier, our management bucks are very good and much less expensive and I think you would be happy your first couple trips going for that and then decide later if a classic is in your budget. And you will enjoy a hunt with us totally. The kill is not the only thing we concentrate on, it is the total experience.
