Went to the coast for some R and R during thanksgiving with the family. Biggest was the 36 lb Amberjack we also caught spotted courgi,trigger fish and vermillion snapper. All are very very good eating. Normally would have been on stand all week in the panhandle deer hunting but the antlers this year are way down due to the drought this year and judging by so few pics on here this year it appears to be the same statewide. First time flats fishing in Florida for family vacation. Say that 10x real fast.

For Spring Break this year we went out to the family farm and enjoyed a week of fishing, hiking, wildlife, farm animals, and smores. Such wonderful memories.

Lou Bonito and I are old Army buddies. He retired in Anchorage after a long career in the U.S. Army. Recently we visited him and his family and went King Salmon fishing at their place on the Kenai River. This video shows the fish, boat, etc. Could not take the actual fight as I was also the cameraman and I had my hands full with the fish. Lou's son Mike netted the fish and acted as guide for the trip. As I recall the fish weighed 51 pounds.

Junior angler Weston Cordell Hardin, of Farmers Branch, Texas, USA, landed a smallmouth buffalo (Ictiobus bubalus) on June19. The youngster used chicken liver as bait to entice the fish that weighed 2.38 kg (5 lb 4 oz) while he was fishing Catfish Creek, in the Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area at Tennessee Colony, Texas. If his record is approved Weston will be the first IGFA boy’s junior class record holder for the species.
