The Texas Wildlife Association welcomes Mary Pearl Meuth to its Conservation Legacy team. Mary Pearl will be working as an independent contractor in the Houston and surrounding area. Her focus will be youth education.

The Texas AgriLife Extension Service will hold its first ever Texas Wildlife Short Course August 20-21, 2010 at the Brazos County Exposition Center.  Following the conclusion of the Texas Wildlife Short Course, the Texas Wildlife Association’s Regions 5, 6, 7 (Post Oak Savannah, Pineywoods, and Coastal Prairies) will be holding the annual Texas Big Game Awards Sportsmen’s Celebration.  

The Texas Wildlife Association Foundation and San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. announce the opportunity for two deserving area teachers to be recognized for their contributions and earn a financial award for their school in the amount of $2,500. 

Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) leaders in South Texas have launched a first-ever Fall Membership Drive in the region to raise awareness and promote sound land stewardship, private property rights, conservation education, and the preservation of a rural heritage for future generations, all key issues for South Texas being pursued by the organization, according to local TWA leaders.

The Texas Association for Environmental Education has named the Texas Wildlife Association's Conservation Legacy program as the winner of its 2009 Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award for an organization making an impact on environmental education in Texas.

The Texas Wildlife Association Foundation (TWAF) and the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. (SALE) have joined forces to offer four $10,000 Natural Resource-Excellence in Education Scholarships in the fall of 2009.
