New online instructor training developed by the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA) makes learning how to share our hunting heritage more effective, accessible and convenient. Developed in partnership with the Remington Outdoor Foundation, the curriculum features lessons designed to enhance teaching skills using animation, photos, video and narration offering expert advice.

On July 19, 2010, the White House's Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force released its final report on a new national policy with the stated goals of ensuring protection, maintenance and restoration of the nation’s oceans, coastal areas and the Great Lakes. Over the past year, the recreational fishing and boating community provided substantial input to the Task Force, the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and advocated that the social, economic, public health and conservation benefits of sustainable use of our nation’s public resources receive priority consideration in the new coastal and ocean management policy.

The National Rifle Association has selected 45 students to participate in its 2010 Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.), a seven-day, expense-paid educational experience in Washington, D.C. While in the nation's capital, rising high school juniors and seniors will learn the significance of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the importance of being an active citizen. Students tour the U.S. Capitol, the National Archives Museum, the Pentagon, the NRA National Firearms Museum, and many of the memorials and monuments in Washington, D.C.

The Remington Outdoor Foundation has partnered with the National Archery in the Schools Program® to offer $3,000 in scholarships to college-bound students who are registered to participate in the 2010 NASP® National Tournament.

High school students who write and submit an essay that answers the question, "How has the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) changed my life?" can walk away with $3,000 in winnings.

A little more than five years ago, Whitetails Unlimited officially announced its support for the National Archery in the Schools Program. Since then more than $80,000 has been expended by WTU on local grassroots activities in support of the program across the country.
