Summary: I'm a bird hunter and own and trained my own dog. Be careful, it is a huge commitment and would be a total waste if you weren't able to follow through. Good luck

Summary: As a dog hunter myself,I hate to see the heritage disappear.Ask any school kid what an "open"mouth dog is and you wont get an answer.Hate to see it go,but on the other hand dog hunting is not a good method of eliminating feral hogs.It may only disperse the hogs even farther into other properties. Also we have hog hunters in the woods year around now,not very safe for our dogs.I ran into some squirrel hunters with curs last season, they are fighting for the right also.If we dont stand up for our sport,it will be gone soon.
