Summary: Gov. Rick Perry appointed Ernie Morales of Devine as presiding officer of the Texas Animal Health Commission for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. He also appointed six new members for terms to expire Sept. 6, 2013. The commission protects and enhances the health of animal populations across the state.
