This is an absolutely MONSTER black marlin.  The black marlin can reach a weight in excess of 1000 pounds and judging by what's left of this fish after an even BIGGER fish (a shark) gets a hold of him, this black marlin was pushing that 1000 pound threshold. (Or not...either way this is awesome footage!)

These kids catch a 35-40 lb Humboldt Squid off the coast of La Jolla, CA. 

The squid, normally caught at night, were caught in the morning at a depth of about 200 ft. They were caught on white/glow in the dark iron with treble hooks.

Beautiful Blue Marlin.  Not sure about the kids though...kept waiting for one to fall in or kill someone. lol.

A classic deep sea fishing battle.  A 400 pound Grouper.  A tired, but excited fisherman....in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Ouch, that's gotta hurt.
