Giant Lake Amistad will be a fitting playing field for the April 8-10 season opener of the 2010 Bassmaster Central Open tour.  Signed up to compete on the sprawling impoundment that straddles the Texas-Mexico border are 204 pros and 204 co-anglers.

For the third consecutive year, the Academy Sports & Outdoors Bassmaster Women's Tour will award a coveted Bassmaster Classic berth to the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Women's Tour Angler of the Year. The 2010 WBT schedule will span five events, four regular-season tournaments and a championship, and will visit fisheries in Alabama, Texas and Louisiana.

The 2009 Bassmaster Elite Series season rolls out with the Battle on the Border at Texas' Lake Amistad, where Elite anglers have produced impressive hauls of bass in the past three seasons. In 2008, Todd Faircloth of Jasper, Texas, moved from 10th place to first on the final day of the event to edge then-Elite rookie Clark Reehm of Russellville, Arkansas, by 12 ounces with a total weight of 76 pounds, 15 ounces.

This week on the World's Greatest Fishing Show, ESPN Outdoors personality Mark Zona will take Bassmaster Elite Series pro Jeff Kriet for a day of fishing on Texas' Falcon Lake, considered one of the nation's best fisheries.
