House Bill 1965, which passed in the recent Texas legislative session, is no dream. It's real. It's controversial. And it's very likely to devolve into landowner disputes, possibly the installation of high fences, hunter anger and some misery for wildlife.

Libby Balusek graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a degree in wildlife conservation science.   On Tuesday, after seven months of training, the 24-year-old became a Texas game warden, a job that will take her to Cameron County, where she will help keep an eye out for illegal immigration and drug trafficking, as well as the usual plethora of environmental crimes associated with the position.

After more than 20 years of work, the largest remaining privately held pieces of land inside Texas' biggest state park will be made public.
