TPWD Offers Grants To Support Texas Wildlife Action Plan

Summary: The Texas Wildlife Action Plan is a proactive strategy to keep common species common. It focuses mainly on “nongame” wildlife, animals that are not hunted or fished, including some that are not yet rare but could become so if proactive steps are not taken soon. Each year, threatened and endangered species receive funding through the Endangered Species Act and game animals receive support through hunter dollars spent on licenses, firearms, and ammunition.
