Off season feeding?

Summary:

not to late to start. bucks still have there antlers and does have yet to start haveing fawns. mummies makes a apple flavor protien feed that i use and it does make the deer look better in the winter but i feed it year around with corn. also if there are no apple trees you may want to try tieing some cheep apple  to trees the week befor and the days you hunt deer love them and will hang around more

hunters needed

Summary:

220, the price for the lease is $2,500.00 for each hunter, w/guest allowed with restrictions. We have both water and electric w/ the bill for the electric split evenly between all paid hunters after season. I did not hunt this lease last season because dad and I had some differences with the lease manager. I have talked with the land owner and he has told me that he is removing them due to the fact they would not abide by the lease rules and other reasons. I have hunter this lease for 4 yrs and it has plenty of game. I have seen at least 2 trophy class bucks each year that I hunted there. I need 10 hunters to lease this place and have until April to give the land owner the 50% deposit for it. If you are interested please call  or e-mail me and we can visit and I can send you a copy of the lease rules. (Mostly common sense ). You can also find more info on this lease in the guides and lease section of this web site under Crockett county lease. e-mail address ----------mekrto @hotmail.com / phone # 817-475-9723 thanks William

Summary:

Seen a doe chase off 2 young bucks, then run off herself followed by an big one doing the love trot in Bastrop County last week end.

Small Ranch Hunting

Summary:

If you got the does youll get the bucks. But  my best advice is feed better than the guy next to you and feed year round heavily. They will use their place to hide and sleep and use your place to feed. Just keep the pressure on them low and you will have more deer on your place.

Summary:

I would call him a 2 year old.The Bucks nose is too long, frame too small to be older than that The coats always look that way in the summer months and this summer has been particularly hot.Pass on him and he'll make a good buck at  5.5 or 6.5 years of age.

Summary:

Nice looking group! Glad to see you are feeding during this drought, I am sure it will make a difference

Heat Effecting Deer Hunting

Summary:

Edwards county-bucks are slow growing-seems like 6 weeks behind where they should be. Fawns-think we have lost ours as well, have not seen any, which for this time of year is a rare thing. As for the hunting, the deer will be hitting feeders pretty hard, nothing else to eat!

Good luck
