As always J.Pat really goes out of his way to take care of you. Out of four of us that hunted all saw game: lots of turkey, deer, some Javelina, and we each saw hogs and everyone had shots at some. We took 3 hogs and lost 2, one maxed out the 300 lbs scale!!! Again great place for gun or bow (need more bow stands), clean and comfortable. Just got back from paul's ranch. We had a great time and saw and shot many hogs. The staff was awsome and the food was great. We saw about 50 hogs a day when walking around, hunting at night we saw a few hogs and it was slow , but alot of fun. varmint hunting is very difficult in general and not recomened at this place. we saw a skunk but did not have enough time to put a good effort into hunting varmints. The best time to hunt this place at night is from midnight to daylight. We saw a giant hog at night but it would not come into bow range. we shot 6 hogs and all were around 150 pounds. there were 11 people total hunting the ranch at one time which i thought would be way to many but it was just fine. Everyone shot hogs. The only complaints that we had were that they charge to put your meat into a cooler and when they do it is just frozen into a big block. when you have them cut up your hog stand there and put the meat into bags before it go's into the cooler. when they debone your animal they don't do a very good job, the meat is left with dirt and hair on it. Paul? who is this guy? Is he made up? You would think the owner of the ranch would stop and thank a guy for hunting on his ranch, the guy is no where to be found. There are no other ranches like he says there are. There is only one and it is about 320 acers. Other than that it was a great time. East Texas Bow Hunts
Summary:
This was my second trip to hunt with Bobby and Connie. It had been a couple years since my first trip. I shouldn't have waited. My Brother and I went this time and just like the first time Bobby and Connie were GREAT! I'd put money on it that you won't find a nicer more accommodating pair in this business. The property is beautiful. The accommodations are just right and the conversation is unforgettable. The hunting was exactly what fair chase should be. Bobby will put it to you straight, they'll show you what they have, and then it’s up to you. The opportunities are definitely there for seeing game. My brother and I both took deer while we were there. It turned out to be a very enjoyable and successful weekend. A couple things of note: 1. Ask Bobby about his number one spot. HA HA. The "price" is a little steep but well worth it. I’m sold. 2. Book a weekend in the cabins. On Saturdays Connie is gonna feed you. I recommend the GUMBO. The chocolate pie was pretty good too! Bottom line…if you want an enjoyable fair chase hunting opportunity with a family friendly atmosphere, book a hunt with Bobby and Connie. You won’t be disappointed. 4644 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
