The surge in popularity of kayaks and kayak fishing will be taken to a new level in 2010 as the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour Presented by Hobie Fishing begins its inaugural season with 18 multi-species tournaments, outlined in its recently released schedule.

Redfish anglers from Texas to North Carolina and surrounding regions will converge on Orange Beach, Alabama, November 6-7 for the IFA Redfish Tour Championship tournament, the culminating event of the tour's 2009 season.

Redfish anglers from Texas, the Gulf Coast region and surrounding areas will converge on Port Aransas, Texas, on September 12 for the final Texas Division event of the 2009 IFA Redfish Tour regular season.

Redfish anglers from the Texas Gulf Coast region and surrounding areas will converge on Corpus Christi, Texas, on June 6 for the second IFA Redfish Tour Texas Division event of 2009.

The Rockport, Texas, father/son team of Ray Watkins Sr. and Ray Jay Watkins Jr. weighed in a two fish limit of 17.67 pounds to win the 2009 IFA Redfish Tour event at Rockport, Texas, on Saturday. The one-day event was operated out of Cove Harbor North Marina.

Anglers from across Texas and the surrounding Gulf Coast region will converge on Rockport, Texas, on April 18 for the first IFA Redfish Tour Texas Division event of 2009. The event, which will launch from Cove Harbor North Marina, is the first of three regular-season tournaments for the Texas Division, one of six divisions of IFA Redfish Tour events running from the Carolinas to Texas.

As an added incentive to teams participating in multiple divisions - and teams planning to do so - the IFA Redfish Tour announces the "Ultra 6" Award, a $5,000 cash prize awarded to the qualifying team with the highest finish in the IFA Redfish Tour Championship.
