The Association of Collegiate Anglers has selected Allen, TX as the host city for the 2012 Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash. Hundreds of students from across the country will migrate to the city of Allen, and nearby Lake Lavon, March 19-24, 2012 for what should be a fun-filled start to the 2012 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Series.

Collegiate anglers throughout the country may begin registering online for the 2010 Collegiate Bass Fishing Open presented by Pepsi on Thursday, April 1. This unique, new event, scheduled for June 21-25 at Kentucky Lake in Paris, Tennessee is part of the BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Series and is open to all eligible collegiate anglers nationwide.

Careco Multimedia announced today that Sperry Top-Sider will return as the official footwear and exclusive footwear provider of the 2010 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Series.

College bass anglers are likely not the crown jewels of many campus sports programs yet, but the 200 competing in next month's 2008 BoatU.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship (NCBFC) are certainly getting some royal treatment as a result of their participation.
