Search Results:ONE HUGE ANIMAL
Summary:
i just had to share this with you all. This is one big moose. I have often wondered why some of these ranchers haven't tried to "import" moose, they have imported just about everything else. Maybe some tried and they just didn't take. At any rate, can you imagine seeing one this size in the middle of a sendero? Best Days to Hunt in December
Summary:
It would be a very interesting experiment for people to make note of when they see free range animal movement and compare it to this chart from www.primetimes2.com
Nile Crocodile Bites Off Veterinarian's Hand
Summary:
Kaohsiung, Taiwan, April 11, 2007—Armed and dangerous, a Nile crocodile prowls the Kaohsiung zoo (top). Veterinarian Chang Po-yu was reaching through iron bars to remove tranquilizer darts before treating the 440-pound (200-kilogram) reptile when the inadequately sedated animal bit the vet's forearm off. But for the vet, it wasn't quite a farewell to arm. After being shot at twice, but apparently unhit, the croc dropped the arm. After seven hours of surgery, doctors successfully reattached the appendage, shown at bottom on a smiling Chang on April 12. The largest African crocodile species, the Nile croc may be threatened in some parts of its range, according to the World Conservation Union. The reptiles can reach 16 feet (5 meters) in length and are estimated to kill 200 people a year. EDUCATIONAL-Hog Cut
Summary: I thought I should post this where everyone can see this and one more not too gross photo. After reading posts in hog hunting, it seems some are complacent concerning the dangers of hogs. So here you go! THis is what a hog can do to you if your not on top of your game in the field. This is a few weeks after the stitches were removed. Seems there is alot of bacteria in a hogs mouth and it took me 7 months to heal this closed. I hunted while healing and it was terrible to not be able to wear snakeboots or anything to cover this wound. In some of my posted pictures, you'll see me sitting behind my animal with my foot sticking out, This is why. Couldnt squat cause the wound would reopen. Okay, next picture is more pretty with stitches.
Hog Cut in beginning
Summary:
EDUCATIONAL- Here's the pretty and clean picture of my ankle after being taken down by a boar hog from behind. Notice the back of the cut, if it would have been 1 CM back, it would have cut my achilles tendon and I may not be out walking and hunting like I am. God took care of me that day. It took 7 months to heal up. Never trust a hog and always be prepared with a pistol when in the field with hogs around. Don't let this happen to you! Yes, most run, but not all run from you and like me, they can actually hunt you! Remember, these animals and bears where the same animal back in evolution. Would you trust bears? Don't trust hogs either. Beautiful AnimalLike Father, Like Son
Summary: I was looking at some animal tracks and didn't notice the wildlife camera took this picture. I thought it was funny when I noticed how my son was standing in the exact same position I was, as though some how that would help him see what I was looking at better. It is amazing the responsibility a parent has to a child. They literally try to copy everything you do, everything.
