Angler Tim McKneely just recently moved to the Fort Worth area from Central Texas.  McKneely and friend Mark Alexander frequently fish from the bank from about 8:00 at night until mid-afternoon the next day.

Texas tournament anglers will have even more opportunities to cash in on the 2012 season with the launch of the all-new Texas Team Trail. The tournament circuit, designed exclusively for team competition, will begin March 10th, 2012 and will include a total of 4 qualifying events, plus a year-end Championship.

The Association of Collegiate Anglers has selected Allen, TX as the host city for the 2012 Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash. Hundreds of students from across the country will migrate to the city of Allen, and nearby Lake Lavon, March 19-24, 2012 for what should be a fun-filled start to the 2012 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Series.

The American Sportfishing Association (ASA), along with numerous recreational fishing and boating organizations and dozens of Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle, continues to strongly advocate for a legislative solution that requires that science be the primary force behind federal marine fisheries management decisions.

On November 16, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was yet again petitioned by the Center for Biological Diversity and two other anti-fishing groups, requesting that the agency regulate the manufacture and sale of lead fishing tackle of certain sizes and uses under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

The opening day of this year's Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) will be available in over 75 million homes when the tournament airs this Saturday at 1 p.m. Eastern (Noon Central) on Versus, a member of the NBC Sports Group.
