Obamas Czars

Summary:

Mike,

I beg to differ...let's deal with facts here and not emotions, and leave all the name calling off the table, OK?  I'm no idiot, and neither are the vast majority of folks who differ from you.  Frankly, your post doesn't make a lot of sense because its all over the place.  So we're going to take it from the top.

Let's start with Obama's stated positions on the second amendment - link here.  If you want to debate point by point on these quotes, or any of Obama's quotes on this subject, line by line, I'd be happy to.  Fact of the matter is no government has the right to dictate if and when its citizens can defend themselves.  And, this guy is pure-d dangerous when it comes to his opinions of government and the governed.  Hence one of my reasons for posting the video.

Next let's go with microstamping which you say is trash...its included as a provision of the CIFTA treaty (Spanish acronym for Inter-Amercian Treaty Against the Illicit Manufacturing and Trafficing in Firearms, Explosives, and other Related Items) which Obama supports.  Ficticious?  Read here.

And the next 'trash' item of higher gun taxes?  While Obama hasn't proposed anything (yet) this is an example of what he did in Illinois, link here.  There is every reason to be concerned about what he will do in this arena.

There's much more I could add to these, but at least its enough to show that this 'trash' you speak of is anything but.

Now, let's address your statement about putting-up or shutting-up.  Most of us don't go on this site to brag about the phone calls we've made, emails we've sent, petitions we've signed, or meetings we've attended when it concerns pending legislation, not to mention the candidates or organizations we've contributed to, or even helped campaign for.  But, I can assure you that 95% of the people who frequent this site have done these very things, some several times over.  That's what responsible citizens do.  And you talk about fixing the problem?  When it comes to the Second Amendment Obama's policies ARE the problem and most of us ARE trying to do something about it.  And, part of doing something is telling and informing others - whether it be on this board, on the airwaves, or face to face, because we're sure not going to hear about it from the mainstream media...they have their own agenda, and their level of bias has been proven again and again (examples here).

If I were to take your comments literally are you saying then that anyone 'complaining' about taking away Constitutional rights is somehow tearing the country apart?  What?  If true then I guess  the colonists should have just shut their mouths and let the English run over them, right?  By the way, do your homework...the war for American independence started over gun control, at Lexington.

Am I making this up?  Am I lying?  Am I just believing this stuff because Limbaugh said it?  You be the judge.  I'm willing to discuss ANY issue you want to bring to the table when it comes to Obama's position on the Second Amendment, as well as his unconstitutional views of government.  But, whatever we do let's deal with FACTS.

I'm genuinely sorry that this grieves you...frankly I'm sick of it too.  But, its from the standpoint that I'm disgusted that any legislator DARE infringe on my family's right to keep and bear arms, and therefore our right to defend ourselves as well as hunt.  And, I want this right kept for my sons and their sons.  Therefore, it's worth sticking-up for.

Franklin said "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.".  My questions to you are these: What have you really given up in order for you, as you put it, to just "get away from the garbage of this world"? and, If you simply try to avoid the conflict we're in right now, what will you leave your children by avoiding it?

Dinner With Obama

Summary: Got this via email - I don't know the author.  And, while a little dramatic, its a pretty vivid parable on what's happening almost every day in this country.   Dinner with Obama   Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a...

CIFTA - Obama's Back Door To Gun Control

Summary: Obama Positioning For Backdoor Gun Control by Chuck Baldwin April 24, 2009   On his recent trip to Central America, President Barack Obama did more than cozy up to Marxist dictators; he also signed onto an international treaty that could, in effect, be used as backdoor gun control. It appea...

Don't Believe the Mexico America is Arming Mexico Garbage

Don't Believe the Mexico America is Arming Mexico Garbage
Summary:

The only time the press lies is when its mouths are moving or its fingers typing.

But frankly this teeters on malicious intent.  I'd encourage everyone to write their Senators and Congressman to stop this type of garbage in its tracks.  Wrote this one to Rall Hall today (and Cornyn and Hutchison as well):

"Congressman Hall,

...I  know you have been hearing these comments to the effect that "More than 90% of the guns used by the Mexican drug cartels originate from U.S. gun sellers". I am providing a link that very strongly suggests that these statements in fact are false and misleading.

 http://www.examiner.com/x-1417-Gun-Rights-Examiner~y2009m3d30-Do-90-of-Mexican-crime-guns-come-from-US

Please have someone on your staff review the information provided. If you concur I would appeal to you to immediately draw attention to this innaccuracy and nip this type of garbage in the bud. I'd even demand an investigation into who is responsible in Washington for contorting what has actually been put on record. It is obvious to me, as we've seen many times before, that these are the typical momentum-generating type of maneuvers used to pass legislation at the first big problem that occurs in which an emotional response to take immediate action can be wrung out of the American people.

Realizing that there are many important battles raging, often its the more serious ones that can pass by without the proper attention paid to them. The United States government can never usurp the basic freedoms of its people. Self defense, at the citizen's reasonable discretion, is one of those. If government does usurp those freedoms it is no longer a republic or a democracy - it is on its way to totalitarianism."

The First Strategy Hits the Streets

Summary: Got this in the mail today...its a little wordy, but the bottom line is brass is going to get even harder to come by, especially in the military calibers.  Obama's strategy (at least one of them) is starting to become clearer - no bullets, no problems.  I don't see any particular reaso...

Here We Go Again

Summary:

This is typical of what we've seen throughout all his posts on this and several other threads.  He's also contradicted his own earlier statements and opinions.

Certainly Bush had his problems, but to blame all these economic woes on him is ridiculous.  The gradual slowing economic trend we're seeing has been coming a long time - I think Garrett's GDP numbers, wherever he got them and assuming they're even accurate, reflect that.

These guys have the White House, Senate, and House in control now so there's no one else to blame.  Oh, they'll try all right.  Their ideas simply don't work - Jimmy Carter proved that.  And, they'll not want the same standard applied to them as when they yelled at Bush Sr and Jr when recessions came...or don't go away fast enough.

I think all of sudden reality is setting in and this economy, and the American people, can not be able to stand-up under Obama's "tax-and-spend" mindset.

But I digress....

A So It Starts?

Summary:

Don't forget Bastogne...American Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe, when his 101st Airborne was surrounded by Nazi troops and tanks during the Battle of the Bulge, was asked to surrender.  His reply?  "Nuts".

I don't think we've seen the tip of the iceburg on this type of garbage.  And, it'll be about much more than just 2nd Amendment.
