Public Hunting and Access to Texas Parks and Wildlife Lands for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has recently been updated. Hunts at Mission Lake Unit of Guadalupe Delta WMA have been re-opened.

If you or someone you know uses a tree stand when hunting, before you head into the woods, make sure your tree stand has not been recalled.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Gander Mountain announced a voluntary recall of about 13,000 hang-on fixed position tree stands.

For Texans in search of convenient fishing, it doesn’t get much better than winter trout season in Texas.  From December through mid-March, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will stock more than 270,000 hatchery-reared rainbow trout at 120 sites across the state.
