Applications for the 9th Annual Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA) $20,000 Wildlife Conservation College Scholarship Program, sponsored by Carter's Country Outdoor Stores, are now available. 

As the leader for premium whitetail auctions in Texas, the Texas Deer Association has announced the dates for its 21st Century Deer Management Workshop and the TDA Superior Genetics Whitetail Deer Auction. Both events will be held at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on Friday, February 13, 2009, in the Livestock Auction Barn and are expected to attract hundreds of deer breeders, whitetail enthusiasts, ranchers and exhibitors.

Strengthening its commitment to outdoor education, the Texas Deer Association has announced its support of Outdoor Texas in establishing a summer youth camp dedicated to deer education in 2009. The all-new summer ‘Deer Camp’ will teach young outdoor enthusiasts about whitetail and mule deer in Texas, and is slated to begin July 12, 2009.

For 18 years, the Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA), a partnership of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and the Texas Wildlife Association (TWA), has been the leader in recognizing the contributions that landowners, land managers and responsible hunters make to managing and conserving wildlife and wildlife habitat on Texas’ private lands. 

The Trinity Basin Conservation Foundation (TBCF) will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on October 17, 2008 at the Parten family’s 7J Ranch in Houston County, west of Crockett, Texas.  The theme of this year’s meeting is “Linkages among urban and rural Texans, conservation, and the Trinity River”.

The Texas Deer Association (TDA) is proud to announce it has partnered with the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA) and is supporting the organization’s efforts to help educate the public on deer and wildlife issues. ADWA is a new non-profit organization established to better represent deer and wildlife associations, service providers and equipment manufacturers on a national level.
