Big Rack Ranch has a Level 3 MLD Permit through Texas Parks & Wildlife.  Our hunting season begins the first weekend in October and runs through the last weekend in February.  We offer a limited number of hunts each year.  All hunts include lodging, meals and a professional guide.  We offer management hunts for bucks ranging from 130"-150" B&C, as well as trophy hunts for bucks scoring 150"-220" B&C.  We are set up to accommodate both rifle and archery hunts at the Big Rack. 

Guests at the Big Rack stay in their own private cabin on the property.  All meals are included in the price of the hunt.  Each hunter will be accompanied by a professional guide while in a stand

Summary:

I have a 4200 acre lease in crockett county 16 miles north west of ozona, texas. We have managed this property for the past 5 yrs and have had good results. I need 10 hunters, guest are allowed with restrictions. However if I cannot fill the full lease than we can divide the lease and hunter requirements. There are a lot of deer and turkey, the quail are having a hard time due to drought conditions. The camping area has water and electricity, electric bill will be split between all paying hunters after season. The country is heavy cedar and misquite w/rolling country and a wet weather draw that runs thru the middle of the property. The land owner has told me that the property was stocked with south texas deer in the 60's and at one time had the largest deer in the county. The genetics are there and we have seen trophy class deer each year we have hunted the lease. I need to have commited hunters by April in order to hold this property, I know the land owner and he has told me that he was removing the hunters this season because they would not allow the bucks to reach 4-5 yrs. of age. He has told me that if I can get the hunters he is more than willing to lease the property to me long term.

Summary: We have 3 day semi guided hunts with some monster whitetail deer on our ranches. The cost is $2000 per hunter for 3 days of hunting and $250 per day thereafter. ----- A fully guided hunt will consist of standing - stalking safari style. We will be using spot and stock methods also. Semi-guided hunts are done by stand hunting only over feeding area and food plots and some game trails between bedding and feeding areas. ------ Our whitetail are hunted on large tracts of private land in North Texas, exclusive to Triangle T Outfitters. Each season, several book deer are taken. An average deer will book at 135 B&C and up. Only a limited number of hunters are guided each season to maintain our management program. We have over 30,000 acres for hunting whitetail and we strive to take bucks that are at least 3.5 years of age.
