We offer a great opportunity to hunt Texas Hill Country game.  With a diverse population of native and exotic game, GBL Ranch is worth a try.  We provide lodging and transportation on the ranch.  We offer reasonably priced package hunts.  Our guests are generally small groups of hunters for 2 to 3 days. Most of our hunters are interested in taking a meat animal and sometimes looking for a trophy.  All enjoy the outdoors and a chance to observe the wildlife.

Bucks 3-4 yrs old are in the 125-140 class B&C and better are not uncommon with continued good management. 09-10 season harvested an 18 point scoring over 160 B&C and 4 bucks were 10 pointers with 18" spread or greater. Free choice protein for deer and milo for turkey fed spring and summer. 12 custom blinds and feed pens with feeders in place. J&L's Nooney Paw Paw Mountain Ranch is located in Edwards County in the beautiful Southwest Texas Hill Country not too far from Camp Wood and Barksdale.  The terrain is rugged and varied, ranging from pecan bottom on the East Prong of the Nueces river to deep ravines, mountainsides and mountaintop.  There are no high fences, so animals roam freely in and out to the several feeders and blinds.  The game seen includes whitetail deer, axis deer, aoudad sheep, rio grande turkey, and feral hogs.  Lodging in a nice little furnished cabin is included in the hunt package fee.  The owner is always present to assist in various details of the hunt, but this is a basic, do-it-yourself set-up when it comes to skinning and processing your own game.  A good deer hanger is on the premises for hunters to use.  Every year trophy axis and aoudad are taken, and we do offer hunts all through the year for these animals.  We take a limited number of hunts each year, so the place is not "overhunted".  For full information, please take a look at our web page:  <http://nooneypawpaw.com>

This is a season lease that includes Spring Turkey for 7 guns at $2900 each. This is a great hill country hunting lease with lots of whitetail deer to hunt. There are a few exotics as well. We have 9 water troughs throughout the three pastures that are served by windmills and sub pumps with large holding tanks. It is not overgrazed  and we rotate one herd of cattle . Lots of live oaks and spanish oaks. A beauty of a place. The house is a three room that can be used as  two bedrooms and living room or all three as bedrooms, kitchen with small dining, closed in porch and two bath with shower. Lot of good storage.This is semi furnished. It is highway frontage off 377hwy about 25 miles south of Rocksprings. Has been under game management for the past four years and needs a good group that will continue to manage the game.
