This area, the transitional region between the Trans-Pecos and the Edwards Plateau is chock full of this very intelligent and cunning birds. The can humble even the most experienced hunter with their keen eyesight. This has been a permanent residence for the Rios for more than 40 years. The terrain is full of hills, dry creek beds (draws), thick brush and cactus. But together this makes for some superb hunting. We guarantee you the opportunity to see a lot of birds. There are several huge roosts than house upwards to 100 birds at some of them. The lodge is an old farm house (1880’s). While not extravagant, it is very comfortable with a lot of room for all. It has been lovingly dubbed “Lonesome Dove”. As on all of our hunts, your satisfaction is our primary concern. You can sit in a stand, back up in the brush, or spot and stalk. Because it is a working ranch, we limit the weapons to shotguns and bows only. No exceptions. If you are looking to start your slam, are hoping to complete your slam, or you simply want to match wits with these birds, then a hunt with B&B Outfitters is just what you need. We experience a 100% success rate on this and all of our other hunts. From beginner to expert, this is the hunt for you. All of our packages are all-inclusive, save for travel costs. If you choose to fly in, we will pick you up at the Midland International Airport, which is approx. 2 hours north of the ranch at the rate of $100.00 per vehicle per roundtrip. However, we do ask, that due to the distance from the airport, that you arrive and depart between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. If that is not possible, then you will need to make plans to rent a vehicle. You need to plan on arriving the day prior to your hunt and then depart on the day after your hunt ends. Our basic packages include 4 full days of hunting, but we can add days to your package at the additional cost of meals and lodging only. Non-hunters are welcome, as are children and spouses; however this is based on availability. The price for non-hunters is persons 10 and older at the rate of $100.00 per day; 9 and younger will cost an additional $50.00 per day. *ALL OF OUR PACKAGES ARE CUSTOMIZEABLE* Please note that there are no hidden costs, nor do we have any tacked on trophy fees.
