I went to Google today and searched for buy wildlife dart gun and it came back with nothing. I have heard from several people over the years about using dart guns to manage horses, cattle, exotics, wild hogs, and of course, the huge trophy whitetail deer breeders. If you have a dart gun, what brand is it and where did you buy it Would you recommend it If your friend has one, do you mind asking them the make model and whether they would recommend it Thank you, jason

greetings Texas hunters, my name is terry and i am from Texas. thanks for letting me post. i would like to post some on CWD. i have been studying this TSE agent for almost a decade, since the death of my mother to the hvCJD, confirmed. first off, about mad cow disease s as a whole as i call them, we have been lied to for a long time about that. most of it is all political of course, what i call the, God save the industry at all cost mentality, including public health. now i know some will not like what i post, i don t like it either, but these are the facts. cwd transmits in several ways, animal protein feeding is one of them, and new studies are showing that our fears of transmission via salvia and blood and other body fluids are a real threat as well. now some get angry when i start speaking of urine, and i really don t care how much urine or feces one spreads on themselves to get a big buck, but these are the facts as i have come to know them, and i thought some here might w...

Sent Thursday, March 26, 2009 10 06 AM Subject HB 4214 Texas Relating to the business of taxidermy providing penalties AND HELP PREVENT CWD Greetings Texas Hunters, THIS is a very important bill. I know most officials in Texas could not say CWD would not for fear of someone talking about it , but this is really what this bill is all about. Several states have introduced CWD into their state by Taxidermist, from what the investigations have concluded. SO i would suggest that every hunter out there push for this bill to pass. YOU DO NOT WANT CWD BROUGHT INTO TEXAS, if it is not here already here, and they are going to have to do a lot more testing around NEW MEXICO WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE Texas border, and do more testing in the game farms in TEXAS to convince me of that. Please see bill, and then CWD Taxidermy data i put together a while back. ...terry By AA Homer H.B.ANo.A4214 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the busines...

ward county new land owner

I just recently bought a 5 acre parcel long rectangle of land in west texas ward county about 100 feet away from the pecos river north of pecos . My fiance and I wanted a place to call home base away from home, so if we hike scout hunt etc we have a place to shower sleep camp, basically just enjoy the outdoors and get away from big city living. With the 5 acres of land I was reading in this site others ideas and suggestions for small acre food plots feeders and water guzzlers. Currenty we have a plan to plant buffalo grass on the far end roughly 3 4 an acre and put a few 250lb capacity ground feeders that we will stock with corn. Also we plan to put in a few salt licks or mineral licks in that are. I m not really to sure if we will need water guzzlers that close to the river but the budget will allow if it actually helps the wildlife. I m new to all of this and need some help or suggestions to get this area more deer friendly for hunting and wildlife photos her hobby . I rea...

Spanish Hunter Education Course Offered in Central Texas

he Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is offering a hunter education course in Spanish designed for hunters of all ages on Dec. 15 16 at Cabela s in Buda. The course will not only benefit current hunters who speak Spanish, but for Spanish speakers considering the activity for the first time, it s a good way to learn more. The class offers information on ethics, responsibility, firearms and safety and reinforces the game laws which may be difficult to understand, said Texas Parks and Wildlife Department s Hunter Education Coordinator Terry Erwin. Classes in Spanish have been offered statewide over the last 15 years however they re usually more prevalent in the southern areas of Texas. Normally we re limited because we don t have many Spanish instructors, said Erwin. Hunter education covers the skills, regulations and responsibilities of hunting, wildlife conservation and the outdoors and is mandatory for every hunter, including out of state hunters, born on or after Sept. 2, 1...

I received this photo today by email from a friend. Do you feel like Bass Pro is bowing to the animal rights faction and going out of their way to be politically correct Or maybe there is something else we don t know that motivated them to clarify the source of their mounts. What does, Bass Pro does not advocate or accept the taking of game or fish for displays mean If this statement only said fish it would make more sense. Many anglers I know pride themselves in fighting a big trophy, taking measurements, photos, maybe even a scale, and then carefully placing the fish back in the water and monitoring it until it swims off. But, the statement also says, game . Some hunt for meat. I think we would agree the best meat is usually a female of the species Some hunt for trophies, and eat the meat, and mount the trophy. Some hunt for trophies, give away the meat, and mount the trophy. Not all species are considered good eating . Aoudad for example. But people hunt them for th...
