I have a 4200 acre lease in crockett county 16 miles north west of ozona, texas. We have managed this property for the past 5 yrs and have had good results. I need 10 hunters, guest are allowed with restrictions. However if I cannot fill the full lease than we can divide the lease and hunter requirements. There are a lot of deer and turkey, the quail are having a hard time due to drought conditions. The camping area has water and electricity, electric bill will be split between all paying hunters after season. The country is heavy cedar and misquite w rolling country and a wet weather draw that runs thru the middle of the property. The land owner has told me that the property was stocked with south texas deer in the 60 s and at one time had the largest deer in the county. The genetics are there and we have seen trophy class deer each year we have hunted the lease. I need to have commited hunters by April in order to hold this property, I know the land owner and he has told me that he ...

Well we are going back home West Texas for Christmas. We will spend a couple of days visiting everyone and at least one of those days SPOILING my grandkids and then give them back and run. RUN is absolutely correct straight to the ol lease. Going to spend 4 5 days there and than pull out for the season. Need to add a couple more deer to the freezer and give ol mossy horn a chance to meet up with my ol 7 mag. Kid brother will be there for a couple of days and we will take him hunting. He may or may not take a deer, but it will give him a chance to get out and un wind. Most all of us hunters understand this. To all of you have a marry Christmas AND A WONDERFULL NEW YEAR even if Obama is still around .

I think that o l Lamar knows what a CATTLE GUARD is. I recieved this e mail this morning, as I would have expected. Beware people, they run RUIN our country and they breed For those of you who have never traveled to the West or the Southwest, Cattle Guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug out areas in the roads adjacent to hwys sometimes across them , to prevent cattle from crossing over the area. For some reason cattle will not step on the guards probably because they fear gettin their feet caught between the rails. Very Wise . A few monthe ago, President Obama recieved and was reading a report that there was over 100,000 CATTLE GUARDS in the state of Colorado. Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in the grazing policies in that state. So he ORDERED the Secretary of the Interior to FIRE half of the Cattle Guards immediantly NOBODY CAN TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO . Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presu...
