This week I drove from TX to FL, through LA, MS and AL, so it was important for me to know as I slept in my truck what the rules regs were affecting my ability to defend myself. www.texaschllicense.com category chl information

The TexasHuntFish.com Staff met to discuss the Reward Points System and propose changes for 2008. We started this contest as a fun way to encourage everyone to create a stronger community of hunters and anglers who are willing to share their knowledge and help each other. As we reviewed the Top 100 Members , we realized that some of the current point values do not fairly reflect our focus on quality hunting and fishing content. It s easy to go through and make one word comments or to click a star to rate an image, but it is so much more valuable to be a member who contributes and initiates good content on the site. We will continue to recognize the Most Points Winner each month, and give that person a 100 gift card. Please note A member cannot win the Top Points Winner Gift Card 2 months in a row. Rather than give monthly gift cards to only three people each month, we thought it would be a great idea to organize a series of group trips this year. We would love to ...

30 months in jail for broken gun Judge hands down penalty for misfire from 20 year old rifle Posted May 27, 2008 9 32 pm Eastern 2008 WorldNetDaily http www.worldnetdaily.com index.php fa PAGE.view pageId 65455 A federal judge has ordered a 30 month prison sentence for a man whose rifle misfired, letting loose three shots at a firing range, prompting 2nd Amendment supporters to warn their constituents how easily they, too, can become a gun felon. It didn t matter the rifle in question had not been intentionally modified for select fire, or that it did not have an M16 bolt carrier or sear, that it did not show any signs of machining or drilling, or that that model had even been recalled a few years back, said a commentary in Guns Magazine on the case against David R. Olofson, of Berlin, Wis. It didn t matter the government had repeatedly failed to replicate automatic fire until they replaced the ammunition with a softer primer type. It didn t even matter that...

Aoudad Eradication Project...

Last September we were called out to a ranch to shoot every aoudad you see. Some people sell aoudad hunts. Other people have decided that aoudad are aggressive, destruction, and a net negative impact on the habitat and other species they are managing. In this case, it was a high fence ranch that had some damage to their fence along a wet weather creek and this was the assumed entry point of the aoudad. When we got to the ranch we learned the owner had quit running the feeders because he was tired of feeding the aoudad. There had also been record rains and the native grasses in the fields were 2 3 feet high. We showed up with two bales of alfalfa, corn, a .308 and .12 guage. Our hope was to set up a bow blind and when the herd of aoudad came to the feeder, we would open up with the benelli m4 .12 guage, unloading 6 rounds of 00 Buckshot. Our plan did not become reality. One of the great quotes of the weekend was John Schwarzlose telling me, We are throwing hay into a hay fiel...

Mountain Lion Hunt Video with Jason Parrish

This trip is one of the most memorable, exciting, and beautiful experiences I have had in the outdoors. There were so many things to experience mountains, snow, elk, elevation, tracking, watching the dogs work, learning from the guides, and more. The more I thought about writing a Journal Entry, the more I realized that it would be 10 pages so I might as well just show the video and let it tell the story. The Outfitter was Mark V Outfitters, Robert Roll. CLICK HERE to learn more about his operations. The Head Guide was Freddie Seeds, who is also the Fire Chief at Los Alamos Labs. Knowing that you have an EMT with you on a Mountain Lion Hunt in the wilderness is comforting. They also run Black Bear, Elk, Pronghorn, and Bison hunts.
