My buds dad has a BFR .45 70 Gov t Revolver . I had the chance to shoot it and I liked it very much. It s not a plinking pistol, after three round of 300 gr s my palm was stinging. I was shooting across a river at a weed on the opposite bank, it took 3 shoots to uproot the plant. Link_Here I think that and a lever action in the same would be a nice combo. Does any one hear have one or have you shot one

I can t hardly wait to go deer hunting. I have been trying different loads from 180 gr JSP , 240 gr JSP and 250 gr Platinum Tip HP. I have a Ruger Redhawk SS .44 mag with 5 1 2 barrel with iron sights and don t want to change the gun. I m shooting real good with the 180 gr JSP and I enjoy shooting them. So that is going to be my load for whitetail and I will not be shooting over 50 yards. Is any one else going whitetail hunting with a revolver or handgun

I found this and thought others might find it interesting. Note It is illegal to have a firearm in church. Shooting Back The Right and Duty of Self Defense book by Charl van Wyk What would you do if armed terrorists broke into your church and starting attacking your friends with automatic weapons in the middle of a worship service Would you be prepared to defend yourself and other innocents Would you be justified in doing so Is it time for Americans to consider such once unthinkable possibilities There is one man in the world who can address these questions with first hand experience. His name is Charl van Wyck a South African who was faced with just such a shocking scenario. In Shooting Back The Right and Duty of Self Defense, van Wyk makes a biblical, Christian case for individuals arming themselves with guns, and does so more persuasively than perhaps any other author because he found himself in a church attacked by terrorists. Grenade...

Texas Interest

Allen, I have posted a copy of the hunting and fishing packages that you offer, which are well priced. I would put together a well done information board to place in business like the Tye Truck Stop plus outdoor, firearm business, feed stores and wild life expos in Abilene and San Angelo. TexasHuntFish could put together a nice CD that could be played on a small TV set at many local business that attract the same type of customers that you want. When I go to Cabela s and there is a CD playing on a screen, I always stop and watch wishing that I was there. In running a business, I personally would go for fewer people with deeper pockets than for more people with shallow pockets. I would want fewer people out and about disturbing my game. There is a growing number of once upon a time hunters that now just want to get out and look like their hunting while really just enjoying nature. They have grown soft living in the big cities and they enjoy nature. They have no intention of sh...

This type of stuff just drives me crazy. Link National Guard unit stormed while patrolling the border. The News will come on after the commercial, just wait. And December 28, 2006 Illegal immigrant shoots two CA police officers This has been a scary ten days or so for the California Law Enforcement community. We lost Oceanside Police Officer Dan Bessant and San Francisco Police Officer Bryan Tuvera and Long Beach Police Officers Officers Abe Yap, 35, and Roy Wade, 39, were shot during a routine traffic stop . The teenage murderers of Ofcr. Bessant have been arrested and will hopefully get life in prison. Although both were gang members, their immigration status is not known. The murderer of Ofcr. Tuvera was killed by police. And the PoS who shot the two Long Beach Officers was found by our brothers in Santa Ana last night, and promptly died in a hail of gunfire. The LBPD officers are expected to recover. But here s why I mention this incident t...

Dear Texas NRA Member This mailing is to inform you of important firearm related issues in the Texas Legislature that deserve your personal attention. We also ask you, as an NRA member, to join and support the Texas State Rifle Association , the official NRA State Association for Texas. The Texas Penal Code, since 1975, has contained duty to retreat language that would put you in legal jeopardy if you use a gun to defend your life. Your life and liberty could hang on a poorly worded and subjective definition of reasonable . Ironically, Texas law does not require you to retreat if you are defending a third person, or your own property, only if you defend yourself This is an outrage that must be removed once and for all. The TSRA is joining with the National Rifle Association to promote a Castle Doctrine in Texas, which will remove this onerous restriction from the books, and also remove the ability of criminals or their families to file nuisance lawsuits if t...
