      <description>ALAZAN BAYOU WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA      Nacogdoches County     The Alazan Bayou WMA is located in southern Nacogdoches County and is within the Pineywoods ecological region of East Texas. The WMA is located 6 miles south of Nacogdoches and 1.1 miles west of US Hwy 59 on FM 2782. The WMA totals 2,063 acres and is primarily comprised of bottomland hardwood forests and old field habitats adjacent to the Angelina River. The WMA provides excellent habitat for wintering waterfowl, white tailed deer, turkey, woodcock, rabbits, squirrels and feral hogs.
