Wanted Spring Turkey lease

I would like a lease for Spring Turkey season one month. I am a safe and clean hunter. I normally hunt alone, but may want to bring one friend on occasion. I generally only take one or two birds. I have hunted for many years and will leave the Jakes and smaller birds to mature I hunt for the sport and the trophy and not just a needless kill. Prefer a lease within about 250 miles of Houston if at all possible. Please contact me at icmcumin gmail.com. Thanks

Migratory Bird Report No. 20

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. High Plains Mallard Management Unit Excellent decoying action for Canada geese has been reported throughout the week. What had the looks of a lackluster season at best with drought conditions persisting has turned in to a solid season of hunting according to outfitters. However, the bleak forecast has affected hunter participation. Best hunts have come over corn and wheat. Larger Canada geese have moved in to Texas with freezing temperatures to the north. Duck hunting has been fair to good with recent precipitation, but few hunters have taken advantage. Canada goose hunting remains solid near Knox City, but ducks there have been iffy. Prospects are fair to good. North Zone Duck The region received needed rain early this week that helped hunting in backwater sloughs and bayous. Wood ducks have been good in wet sloughs and bayous. Divers, including scaup, ringed necks, canvasbacks and a f...

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. High Plains Mallard Management Unit Outfitters reported fair to good hunts for ducks on playa lakes and feed lots. Ducks have congregated on warmer feed lot ponds with freezing temperatures. Goose hunting has been good over wheat and plow ground. Snow the past few weeks has encouraged Canadas to feed and lose some of their late season wariness. Larger Canadas have shown recently with freezing temperatures to the north. Snow geese have cooperated at times, mostly with stiff winds and a low ceiling. Some runoff from snow has filled playas, but wet playas remain a premium. Prospects are fair to good. North Zone Duck Duck hunters have taken good numbers of mallards in sloughs, creeks and river bottoms. Colder weather and frozen waterways to the north have encouraged more mallards to cross the state line. Most of Northeast Texas have received good rains the past two weeks, but overall, preci...

i want a place to hunt hogs for my family

My name is corey i am looking for a place to lease for me and my boys to hog hunt,we are not real interested in hunting for deer,we take a doe or two a year,. The land we used to hunt is no longer available to us the owner passed away and his children sold the land to a land broker and they dont allow us to hunt. We are all verycapable hunters and are used to hunting with deer hunters during the season we can bow hunt as not to spook the deer we are clean and very respectfull. we hunt on a few small properties right now alongside deer hunters and have had absolutey no problems between us. as a matter of fact the deer hunters love us because we put pressure on the pigs without pressuring the deer. i would like something year round with a place for us to camp nothing extravagant just somewhere i can get my boys out of the city. thank you for your time corey

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. High Plains Mallard Management Unit Goose hunters enjoyed better decoying action near Dumas, Spearman and Amarillo with the snow and colder conditions. Christmas Day brought four inches of snow on the High Plains which encouraged geese to decoy better. Larger Canada geese are showing with frozen ponds in the northern states. Snow geese and Canadas are solid on roost ponds near Etter. Duck numbers continue to build in the Panhandle, with more mallards showing on playas. Many divers are hanging out on reservoirs and other deep water ponds. Feed lot ponds are good for gadwalls and wigeons. Recent snow runoff has put water in many dry playas. Outfitters have said hunter participation has been down. Prospects are good. North Zone Duck Duck hunters have taken good numbers of mallards in sloughs, creeks and river bottoms, especially with improved habitat conditions as of a result of recent rai...

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. High Plains Mallard Management Unit Duck hunting has improved with recent rains and snow. The Panhandle received more rain early this week and snow is forecasted as well. Good numbers of mallards, gadwalls and teal have been harvested, along with wigeons, mallards and gadwalls. Goose hunting has been great, according to several sources, with best goose hunts coming over wheat and corn. Lots of Canada geese on Lake Etter. Snow geese have been mixed with darks. Outfitters have reported larger Canada geese have moved in to the region with freezing temperatures in the northern states. Prospects are good. North Zone Duck Biologist Jared Laing said hunters have enjoyed good shoots for mallards in backwaters along sloughs, river bottoms and beaver ponds. Recent rains have drastically improved habitat in what had been a dismal first split of the season. Mallard action has been good along the Su...
