Hog Hunting Texas Head Shot 100yds and Running Spine Shot

Its the second night for hunting with HogChaser85, We ve killed 2 hogs so far and as the sun goes down, several pocket pigs, several sows and a boar come wandering in. There are branches in the way of shooting these feral hogs so we watch them for about 6 minutes before shooting. I drop one with a head shot, Chase s rifle miss fires, I shoot a second one on the run and drop her, then we both shoot again and miss. We had our Destroyer Hog Lights ready but these wild pigs came in while it was still fairly light. We took a bit getting down there so it was dark by then. Check out the Hog Hunting Action Y all Enjoy

Remington 700 7mm mag

New rifle I will be using it on whitetails and hogs this season. I really like it so far just a regular remington 700 7mm mag with the xmark trigger and topped it off with a leupold scope. Also I know it looks like the scope is mounted high but those were the rings that came on it now it has leupold rings and is mounted lower. Video Going over the Rifle and Scope setup

author request

I am a longtime deer elk antelope hunter, and concealed weapon carrier, who has never hunted wild boar. I m looking for someone to take me hunting boar in Texas. I am also an author working on a book about the many ways we gun guys appreciate firearms. I m profiling, for example, a concealed carry instructor a man with a collection of antique machine guns worth about 5 million who is way into the history and the mechanics an AR 15 enthusiast who doesn t hunt and isn t preparing for the end of the world, but just appreciates firing the most modern and adaptable rifle there is a gay activist who runs an organization committed to the principle that armed gays don t get bashed a German American scheutzen shooter drawn in by his heritage a woman three gun and subgun competitor the late and great Aaron Zelman, founder of JPFO and others. I would like to include a hunter, and a Texas pig hunter would be terrific. From the YouTube videos of Texas pig hunting I ve watched, there are...

I am looking for a stainless composite rifle. Smaller caliber perfered. I have a Mossberg 500 Pump Shotgun. It started with a 18.5 barrel. I added a new black parkanized 24 rifle and ported barrel. It has an adjustable stock with shell holder and a Simmons 3x9x40 scope. It is accurate out to 100 yards with Hornady 300 grain SST slugs. I might add it leaves a big hole Please PM offers with pictures of your trade.
Winchester Model 70

I m almost strictly a Winchester guy rifle wise anyways and I ll agree with Colby on the base ring combo. I ve never had good luck with weaver style bases and think of them more of an improved slightly dove tail mount found on .22s and air guns . I m betting that the simmons 8 point that came mounted on it was on weaaver style bases to begin with. Might be why you re unable to hit paper wobbly scope syndrome . If that s not the cause do this because bore sighters are hit or miss excuse the pun . After bore sighting, don t goto the 100 yard range first off. Start at 25 50, adjust scope to impact, then increase range and do this all the way out to your maximum effective range or as far as your comfortable to shoot or your range allows . Do it correct the first time and you ll never have to do it again.
