Hi, my name is Brian Cluff and I stumbled across this site the other day. I raise and train German Shorthairs and English Pointers as a hobby. I am not a dog breeder. I have however gone to great lengths to find dogs with the right bloodlines and qualities from across the nation. The qualities that I think are important for a dog to have naturally and be able to develop are bidability, an awesome nose, style, stamina, and a willingness to retrieve. Occasionally I will have finished dogs for sale as I bring in new pups and try out different bloodlines. Duke I bought Duke as a puppy and he was the pick of the litter. He has turned out to be a very stylish and classy gundog. He is a Honky Tonk Attitude grandson and has a strong influence of Elhew Strike on his dams side. He is a natural retriever with a soft mouth and has a cannon for a nose He also has some of the HTA style and head crank Duke has been hunted for two seasons on Gambles, Scaled, and Mearns quail. He h...

I have most basic equipment, but just do not know the area or where to go...... I have taken 2 and a half Defense classes in the last few weeks, and have done a little hunting over the years, but not the big wild animal or game hunter, but safe to go out with..... We would like to hunt near Denton, but can drive to where they are too. We don t have hunting dogs.... At this point, since it is getting close to Christmas, we could go out after, or a quickly, and both. I try to add to my equipment twice a month. When I came to Dent...

Got this story and photo in an email from a friend. Loaded up and headed South of San Antonio to the ranch for a day of feeder filling and beverage drinking...maybe even tell a lie or two. I had brought along the bow because there are always hogs...always And why not get a little practice in with my new Z7 Extreme. So we get to the ranch unload our things and crack open a beverage... man it was HOT Cold drink was soooooo good and we had not filled the first feeder. okay, so we are not really filling the feeders. just more like checking to make sure they are being filled...... But it was still HOT After several more beverages and confirmation that the first 7 feeders were being filled adn we had watched tons of turkey and quail, i decided the next feeder we hit I was gonna walk to the near by tank and see if I could catch a hog laying on the edge in a wallow. Usually we see pigs and Javi s all over when we are driving around but today was hot and they were not on t...

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. North Zone Dove The North Zone is closed, but reopens Dec.23 Jan.8, 2012. Red River hunters saw fair hunting at best around treelines and in harvested soy bean fields. Tanks and ponds holding water were good in the afternoon due to the drought, but wet watering holes were tough to find.

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. North Zone Dove The North Zone season closes at sunset Oct. 23. The season has been fair at best, probably due to lack of traditional watering holes due to the drought. Best flights occurred around the Panhandle in sunflowers and milo around Amarillo, though wet playas are limited. Doves have been using feed lots ponds for waters. Good shoots were posted around Paris and fields north of Dallas. The cold front his week should push new mourners to Texas, though, traditionally, few hunters participate this late in the season. Prospects are fair to good. Central Zone Dove An influx of birds hit this region of the state last week on the heels of the cold front, but few hunters noticed due to lack of participation. Dove hunting priorities have shifted to preparations for the upcoming deer season. Hankamer and Winnie, along the Central and South zone borders, have enjoyed steady flights. Sealy...

Weekly migratory bird hunting reports are posted from early September through early February. North Zone Dove Hunter participation has slowed to a crawl. More birds moved into the region with light north winds. Rains over the weekend recharged ponds and puddles. Afternoon watering holes have produced lately with the drought conditions. Lubbock and Abilene fields have produced good shoots in scouted fields. Fields near Paris and Red River County have been fair around treelines. Dallas area fields have been fair in the afternoon. The season runs through Oct. 23. Prospects are fair to good. Central Zone Dove Birds have been best over corn, milo and watering holes in the afternoon. Fields around San Antonio, Castroville, Hondo, Uvalde and Del Rio have been fair to good in the afternoon. Hunter participation has waned of late. Fields around Hankamer, Sealy and Waller have been fair to good. The region received much needed rain over the weekend. Dayton fields of goatweed have been good....
