Building future hunters

I currently hunt in Val Verde County and have done so with the same rancher for 13yrs. We are fortunate to be able to bring our families on to the lease where our kids learn to enjoy hunting and the outdoors. Recently, I have been looking for a lease in the South Texas Region for me and a friend and have found several promising leases, but the problem is, alot of them do not allow children or wives. How can land owner not want the children involved I believe the average age of today s hunter is in the 40 s. if Children are not interduced to hunting, who is going to pay the land owner in the future I am willing to pay an above average price for a lease, but only if my sons can enjoy it too. We have to bring our kids to build future hunters. I guess this is frustrating sign of the times. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY Hunt with your kids not for them.

East Texas Hunting Lease

Hey guys, I am looking for a hunting lease in East Texas for the 2010 season. I have reviewed a few online and looked at a couple in Tyler county but have not found anything that really looks good. Does anybody know anything about Boggy Slough Hunting Club I have a 13 year old son and we have been hunting West Texas for several years but it seems every year the price is getting higher and higher. I don t really need a place that you see 10 to 15 deer every hunt or a 140 class deer but more of a place to take my son and be able to take a couple of does and maybe a decent buck that he could take. I grew up hunting the piney woods and miss the hardwood bottoms, squirrel hunting, shooting wood ducks and chasing them hogs around. Any help on a East Texas lease accepting members that welcomes children would be appreciated. MPO

This ol country boy from Ethel, Louisiana needs some help. I am looking for a place to turkey hunt in Texas. I want it to be a do it yourself at a reasonable price. No guides, no babysitting, just show me the property lines and let me go. Wanted to find somewhere by word of mouth by someone who knows someone or has had a good experience. I don t feel like traveling across Texas to look at a turkey lease. This does not have to be for this season I want to line up something and establish a relationship to be able to plan a trip every year. Any information would be greatly appreciated. You can email me any info. Thanks.
