      <description>We posted about 2 weeks ago seeking advice. Thanks to all for advice. We had a pretty good luck shooting 9 between the 3 of us this weekend. 2 of us being an 8 year old and 11 year old who cannot keep still. We ended up getting 12 mallard decoys and a mallard mojo at Academy. We sat up everything on the south end of our pond because of a strong north wind. We tore it up the 1st hour Saturday seeing between 100 and 150 ducks with several trying to land. we should have shot more than 7. we still are in the beginning stages so I am not sure what we shot. All I can say for sure is some were little and some much bigger birds.We think we shot a few scaup and black duck and a mallard hen. We tried to  call alittle but my sons enjoy calling so we probably called too much and most ducks remained high rollers and went on past us. The evening hunt all we saw were high rollers about dark.       <description>Does anyone know the regulations or rules to hunting on a lake in Texas   Can you just go scout out an area on a lake and hunt   Are there restrictions to what and where you may hunt   I have tried to find info on this but all I get is TPWD Public land hunts.  I live near a very wooded lake in North Texas and was wanting to begin hunting on it.  I was just wanting some information.   Thanks for any help.</description>

We had a day lease where we would pay  40 per hunter but the guy who owns the land is now leaseing it out for the seasion and we need a new place to go.
