February is big Bass time here on Lake Fork. For all you fisherman that have been waiting for those big females to start moving to the shallows, now is the time. Lake Fork is about 6 feet low but still in great shape for another fantastic year of fishing in 2012. The fishing has been good for size the last few days. Numbers of quality Bass can be found starting to stage on the timbered secondary points and ditches, and creeks near spawning flats. Starting at the mouths of the creeks and working your way back is the best approach to locating pre spawn Bass this time of year. Dearing a cold front the Bass will be more active and concentrated on main lake and or secondary points. On warmer days, you will find that the bite is better at the very back of the creeks. Once you locate a fish or two it is good to make another pass back through the area as there will usually be several more in that location and come back and hit it again later in the day. Fishing in depths of 4 10 feet has be...

greetings Texas hunters, my name is terry and i am from Texas. thanks for letting me post. i would like to post some on CWD. i have been studying this TSE agent for almost a decade, since the death of my mother to the hvCJD, confirmed. first off, about mad cow disease s as a whole as i call them, we have been lied to for a long time about that. most of it is all political of course, what i call the, God save the industry at all cost mentality, including public health. now i know some will not like what i post, i don t like it either, but these are the facts. cwd transmits in several ways, animal protein feeding is one of them, and new studies are showing that our fears of transmission via salvia and blood and other body fluids are a real threat as well. now some get angry when i start speaking of urine, and i really don t care how much urine or feces one spreads on themselves to get a big buck, but these are the facts as i have come to know them, and i thought some here might w...

Strike King Pro Kevin VanDam needs no introduction. He s done everything there is to be done in the world of professional bass fishing ... multiple times. I ve shared a boat with VanDam several times, and I have been amazed at his uncanny ability to find and catch bass on lakes he either hasn t fished for years or has never fished before. When I asked him about his gift, he shrugged his shoulders and said, I just follow my Seasonal Guide. It works on any bass lake, anywhere in the country. Just what is this mysterious Seasonal Guide VanDam refers to How is it different from the seasonal patterns bass anglers have long used to guide them to lures and locations Let s take a walk through the six seasons of the bass fishing year and see what direction the Seasonal Guide can give us about each. Winter 48 degrees and below In reservoirs and natural lakes, most of the bass population will be on the main body of water, as opposed to tributary arms. They will be relating...
