Hay, gman need help with liberal math

This ought to be interesting William.... My guess is that either First, we will not hear from Mr. Wonderful. Second, he will wait several weeks before crawling out from that liberal rock he s hiding under, blather some useless drivel starting with bwahaha or something similar , then go dive back under that rock again. Third, try to blame Bush somehow by either blathering again or linking to some obscure leftist thinkless tank. In the five years I ve been on this board that s how he s handled himself about matters like this, almost without exception.

Recomend a good knife for field dressing deer

Tom I ve owned my Marlin Glenfield Lever .30 30 new since 1978 and have just over 100 empty cases. I still remember going to the range to sight it in the first time and burned through a whole box of 20 rounds for sighting it in and shoorting the remainder of the rounds to just shoot it. So, over the 34 years I ve owned it, I ve averaged 3 rounds per year. If you have a similar experience, it will be a long while before you have enough empty cases to reload. During last year s deer season, I found the scope ring clamp screws had loosened after 34 years and I replaced it with a new Nikon Buckmaster Side focus Mildot 4.5 14 X 40 Nikon Part 6469 and bore sighted it by removing the bolt, steadying the rifle and looking through the barrel at a neighbor s mail box then adjusting the scope reticles to coincide with the same place on the mailbox. I believe my bore sighting is close enough to print fairly close to the bullseye, but even if the bullet just hits the target, I will ...

new deer hunter questions please help

Sorry, forgot to mention the really important stuff If you hunt alone Take a cell phone assuming that you have coverage . Place if where you can get to it, but you want lose it. Let some one at home know where you are and when you will be back. Take a good GPS, compass, and map with you. Mark the position of your truck on the GPS and map. Have a good headlamp, plus a back up flashlight. Bring some water, food bars, some first aid supplies, toilet paper, and a good fire lighter. Take a camera and binoculars. If you use a tree stand, be sure and have a safety harness and extra rope to pull your weapon up to you. Resist the tempation to take shots at the last legal minute, too many things can go wrong. Have a great time. I frequently hunt alone and enjoy it.

whats your hunting rifle cal

Lever Action .30 30 with Hornady s LeverEvolution Ammunition in 160 grain projetile. When zeroed at 200 yards, the projectile is 3 inches high at 100 yards and drops 12.1 inches at 300 yards. At 300 yards, the projectile still has 1699 ft lbs or energy and is traveling 1025 fps. Bullet shot from a 24 test barrel. When bullet is fired from a 20 lever carbine, expect a 25 fps decline in velocity for every inch shorter than 24 1599 fps from my 20 barrel . I have a Weatherby Synthetic Vanguard in .30 06 and used it one time to kill a deer. Too much meat ruined and won t do that again. For shots out to 300 yards, it s my trusted Glenfield Lever Action .30 30 for shooting deer, elk and moose 330 yard bull moose drops from LeverEvolution with .30 30 160 grain bullet.
