I need one more gun for my Duck Lease

I am getting on a lease in east texas outside of Quitman and would like one more person to split the cost with. There are 3 duck holes and will be 5 guns on the lease including yourself. It will be 800 for the season and you will be asked to put in at least 500 of that within the next week to reserve the spot. I have never hunted this place myself but the Gentleman leasing it to me has been guiding here for years and has had great success. He is also open to us managing the land to our liking and bringing guests as long as it is approved by the other hunters. you can email me at bjepsen85 yahoo.com if you would like to.

Weekly Migratory Bird Hunting Report Feb. 10, 2010

This is the final report of the 2009 2010 seasons. West Zone Goose Almost a foot of snow on the ground in the High Plains got dark geese in the mood to decoy during the last weekend of the regular goose season. Outfitters said they took limits of Canadas and a few snow geese to boot over corn and wheat. The regular goose season ended Feb. 7. The Light Goose Conservation Order began Feb. 8 and few hunters took advantage of the liberal rules. Many did not want to fight the snow, and other did not want to fight the high percentage of adult snow geese in the population this year. Prospects are fair. East Zone Goose Stiff east, southeast winds over the weekend aided snow goose hunters using e callers. Many hunters reported better decoying action as a result of the mild temperatures and southerly winds. There are still good numbers of geese on the coastal prairies, but that could change any day. Typically, five days plus or minus Valentine s Day sees snow geese begin to trickle back n...

Duck Hunting In Style And Comfort

They know how to build duck blinds in Arkansas. Note the electricity, full kitchen and satellite TV in the description. 3 stories, 1st level hid 4 boats underneath and had room for 2 hunters and 2 dog doors. 2nd level had a full kitchen where we cooked bacon eggs sausage biscuits and sausage gravy w fridge, 2 stoves, electricity for lights, living room with 2 couches and satellite TV, theatre seats around the porch of the blind to shoot 14 guys comfortably. Side porch had a running toilet and a stainless steel grill where we cooked whole rib eyes for lunch. They had all the mojos and mallard machines hard wired to car batteries. 3rd level was the crows nest with room for 3. It was about 25 ft up in the trees and most of the time you were cutting down on the ducks.

Don Kline

Does anyone know if Don Kline is still guiding down near Aransas Pass He lived in Portland. When I was a punk high school kid I would hang out at his house, asking a million questions about airboats, guns, and ducks, and sometimes go hunting with him. It meant a lot that a real professional duck hunting guide would take the time to teach me the ropes. Most hunts we would limit out on sprigs. Great times. And his daughter wasn t bad looking either.
