i want a place to hunt hogs for my family

My name is corey i am looking for a place to lease for me and my boys to hog hunt,we are not real interested in hunting for deer,we take a doe or two a year,. The land we used to hunt is no longer available to us the owner passed away and his children sold the land to a land broker and they dont allow us to hunt. We are all verycapable hunters and are used to hunting with deer hunters during the season we can bow hunt as not to spook the deer we are clean and very respectfull. we hunt on a few small properties right now alongside deer hunters and have had absolutey no problems between us. as a matter of fact the deer hunters love us because we put pressure on the pigs without pressuring the deer. i would like something year round with a place for us to camp nothing extravagant just somewhere i can get my boys out of the city. thank you for your time corey

West Tx Day 4

That afternoon after I d killed my buck, we set my dad up overlooking the spot where I d taken him because we d seen two more good deer there that morning and there were a lot of does hanging around. Meanwhile, I still had another tag and so Jim, Jack I cruised down that pipeline road until toward my secret spot . When we got to about 500 yards away, we saw that a doe was in the road eating corn and a buck was in the brush next to her. It was another big wide 8 point, looked just like the one I had hangin . He was a definite shooter. We eased closer as far as we could and stopped to get a shot off. As I got my gun steady on a sandbag on my side of the jeep, Jack ranged him at 330 yds. The buck was out with the doe now and was keying on us and lookin antsy. He knew he shouldn t be there. I wasn t going to shoot though at that distance. It was fun watching him in the scope though. You could tell he wanted to stick with that doe but his 6th sense was telling ...

West Tx Deer Hunt Day 3

The next morning was one of those kind you dream about in west Texas, 22 degrees, still, clear frost on the ground. We left camp 40 minutes earlier this time to make sure we had time to corn the road and be parked in our spot well before first light. As the sun got bright behind the mountains to the east, we had one doe come out and feed for about an hour about 100 yds away. A young buck came out behind her, and a little while later, a nice but still young 8 point came in to water at the trough by the fence. We saw a couple of bigger bucks cross way down the pipeline clearing, and a nice dark horned 10 point crossed out of range a bit closer. By 10 o clock, we were ready to make a move so we headed down the fence road and turned south onto that long scendero that we first started our hunt on two days earlier. When we got to a small rise in the terrain, I spotted a bunch of deer about 800 yds around one of the troughs. With binocs, you could count 8 10 does, 2 ...

West Tx Deer Hunt Day 1 2

A cool north wind and a clearing sky met us at Iraan, Tx., when we drove in about lunchtime last Sunday. It had been nice seeing all the rain that day, but I planned on getting in the jeep that afternoon so I was glad to see the sun. All the hunt reports had been pretty bleak from the guys in our group coming back after hunting the first week of the mule deer season. Only one mature buck had been seen in the whole 35,000 acres of mountains that we have to hunt, obvious effects of the year long drought. None of which mattered to me yet, though, I was excited to get out and hunt. Ed his son Trey met dad me for lunch in Iraan and we followed them to our lease right after we ate and gassed up the trucks. I went straight from the truck to Ed s jeep and dad left to bring supplies to our camp 35 miles away. We rode all afternoon through the hills and after not seeing a deer, eventually crossing the highway into the greasewood flats where Trey said they d spotted a nice whitetail ...

While screwing the plate to his disk a peice of bone was lodged into his spinal column. Jarrod has had 2 other surgeries to repair the damage with no results. Right now he is basicly paralized on one side of his body. He has since then on top of everything else been diagnosed with ALS lou Gehrig s disease . What we need from you guys is HELP We are holding a benifit concert at Fat Daddy s in Mansfield on Dec. 18 from 1pm till whenever everyone wants to leave. This will have several live bands as it is in conjunction with the Justin Frazell Red Dirt Road Show . Please come and show your support.
BRUSH COUNTRY MONSTERS Fall 2011 Update November 15th, 2011 Man has this been a ride so far in 2011 Let me explain Kansas Seth and I booked a hunt with Midwest outfitters in Kansas last Spring. A great outfitter who happens to be friends with Alan Rovig of McWhorter Custom Rifles. I was going to be there a day early with the cameraman Jaime Lovette and hunt a week. Seth with his day job was going to come in for the last four days. Jaime and I leave my house two days early and head to Midwest Outfitters. Texas is in the throws of its worst drought in history and Oklahoma was not fairing much better. Southeren Kansas was brown and ugly as well. Then about 80 miles south of Midwest Outfitters we hit God s Garden of Edan Lush, green and crops look like something out of a picture book. Now I am a farmer by trade and I lost my rear end farming this year and the crops were as ugly as ugly can get. I was having to sit in blinds and draws and hill tops looking at l...
