Mother vs. Father Who s More Important When your property goal is to increase antler size, it common to get wrapped up in what bucks need, but it is also very important to think about what does need. This is because the doe dam influences her offspring more than the buck sire . We re not saying that the doe provides the offspring with more genetics, but instead affects that offspring from conception to weaning through nutrition. Early nutrition can affect offspring growth and survival therefore, lasting effects are possible when a doe is unable to provide the nutrients for her offspring. Let Buckscore Wildlife Management help increase the quality and quantity of natural deer browse and food plots on your property, so your deer can grow to their potential.

this mornings hunt

The other one came out on me while I was standing here looking at this one. I shot him and he flopped around for a while then got up and limped off in the woods. Didn t want to waste another round of my custom loaded ammo. It was fun since I didn t even have to call them in I think they came around because of the doe pee I put out. maybe thats a thought for in the future when you wanna coyote hunt. both of the coyotes fell for the MRRR sound. They both stopped in their tracks when I made that sound.

Squirrel Stew

Very well said Jon. I to believe that a kid s first deer should be a spike or doe. And those first few trips should be for the kid not just to kill something. The first trip to the fishin hole with my daughter was great, we caught a lot of blue gill, however the best part was when we took a coke break and she looked down and saw all of them sea shells. My wife was not impressed at me for bringing home a gallon bucket of shells, but hay me and my daughter had a great time.

Sounds like a scrape to me. Just checked my feeder today, Found deer tracks where I cross my creek right behind my house. I was using tinks doe in heat monday. Never saw a deer but one fallowed me home. Second time thats happened. I spray it on my boots when I get in the woods. Remeber a legel buck is 13 or bigger or spike on at least one side. Good huntin
