I hunt a ranch deep south texas, we have been feeding corn year round and bagged some decent buck this year. I would imagine protien feed is better for the deer with the lack of rain, can anyone let me know what is a good protien feed for whitetails, or is it too late to starting feeding that

hunting around Austin, TX

I m about to move from Tennessee to Austin, TX. I am looking for information about hunting and fishing around Austin. I love to hunt anything that s legal, especially ducks, geese, deer, and turkeys. I m also a big bass fisherman, but I never turn down a chance at some catfish or crappie. If anyone knows of some public spots around Austin, or if anyone hunts or fishes around there and is looking for a new hunting buddy, email me. Thanks.

I have heard from several people over the years about using dart guns to manage horses, cattle, exotics, wild hogs, and of course, the huge trophy whitetail deer breeders. If you have a dart gun, what brand is it and where did you buy it Would you recommend it If your friend has one, do you mind asking them the make model and whether they would recommend it Thank you, jason

new hunter

I am 25 and plan on hunting for the first time since childhood this upcoming year. I want to start hunting deer in East Texas. I am looking to gather any advice I can as an inexperienced hunter. My question is should I try and join a lease with a buddy of mine who is also new to hunting, and learn as we go Or should I try to find someone close to me to get on with, to kind of learn the do s and don ts of being on a lease Any advice is welcome.
