greetings Texas hunters, my name is terry and i am from Texas. thanks for letting me post. i would like to post some on CWD. i have been studying this TSE agent for almost a decade, since the death of my mother to the hvCJD, confirmed. first off, about mad cow disease s as a whole as i call them, we have been lied to for a long time about that. most of it is all political of course, what i call the, God save the industry at all cost mentality, including public health. now i know some will not like what i post, i don t like it either, but these are the facts. cwd transmits in several ways, animal protein feeding is one of them, and new studies are showing that our fears of transmission via salvia and blood and other body fluids are a real threat as well. now some get angry when i start speaking of urine, and i really don t care how much urine or feces one spreads on themselves to get a big buck, but these are the facts as i have come to know them, and i thought some here might w...

The Contest Duckwhacker and Wingdinger Want to Take YOU Duck Hunting

After Duckwhacker and Wingdinger had such a traumatic and surreal experience, they were able to let it resonate how thankful they both were for what they have Family, each other, and many hunting opportunities that most people are not as fortunate to experience. When Duckwhacker found out he was the Best Story Winner he sent me an email with a very unique proposal for our community here at TexasHuntFish.com. He wanted to give his rewards to the winner of a little CONTEST. Read Duckwhacker s Contest Rules Carefully... 1. People write in a small essay as to why they want to go on a duckhunt with Wingdinger and me at our duck lease. The essay should include some background on the individual as well as their thoughts or motivations to go out on a duck hunt. Whether it is to learn about duck hunting or even if they are a pro, and just want to try hunting someplace else. 2. Wingdinger and I judge the winner. The hunt can take place in December or Jan. We basically make the call ...

ward county new land owner

I just recently bought a 5 acre parcel long rectangle of land in west texas ward county about 100 feet away from the pecos river north of pecos . My fiance and I wanted a place to call home base away from home, so if we hike scout hunt etc we have a place to shower sleep camp, basically just enjoy the outdoors and get away from big city living. With the 5 acres of land I was reading in this site others ideas and suggestions for small acre food plots feeders and water guzzlers. Currenty we have a plan to plant buffalo grass on the far end roughly 3 4 an acre and put a few 250lb capacity ground feeders that we will stock with corn. Also we plan to put in a few salt licks or mineral licks in that are. I m not really to sure if we will need water guzzlers that close to the river but the budget will allow if it actually helps the wildlife. I m new to all of this and need some help or suggestions to get this area more deer friendly for hunting and wildlife photos her hobby . I rea...

Steps Procedures After Having Firearms Stolen

I am looking for any suggestions or words or wisdom from anyone who has regretfully already gone through the process. I am in the process of contacting the detective i.e. waiting for them to call me back on my case and have yet to fill out the formal police report serial numbers, better descriptions, etc . I am specifically looking for additional free or pay databases I can upload the serial numbers to. While no one wants to lose any firearm, I lost my dad s first pistol in the break in and want to make sure I go the extra mile and use the internet or any other possible resource. Any help is greatly appreciated. Just in case different counties differ the guns were stolen in Dallas County.

Obama s Potential Cabinet Member

Obama said yesterday he d consider Al Gore as a potential cabinet member. I ll probably say this again before the election s over...now I ve heard it all. Gore has elevated his global warming theories to that of a religion , and now some folks say recent weather patterns might have actually have him more in a panic mode. Either way, the more I look at him, when you consider what he worships , the more unstable he appears. Maybe its just me...but I don t think so. If any of you guys out there are seriously thinking about voting for Obama, consider not only what he says that s troublesome enough in itself when he s not in doublespeak mode , but who he pals around with. Ought to be a real wake up call.

Spanish Hunter Education Course Offered in Central Texas

he Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is offering a hunter education course in Spanish designed for hunters of all ages on Dec. 15 16 at Cabela s in Buda. The course will not only benefit current hunters who speak Spanish, but for Spanish speakers considering the activity for the first time, it s a good way to learn more. The class offers information on ethics, responsibility, firearms and safety and reinforces the game laws which may be difficult to understand, said Texas Parks and Wildlife Department s Hunter Education Coordinator Terry Erwin. Classes in Spanish have been offered statewide over the last 15 years however they re usually more prevalent in the southern areas of Texas. Normally we re limited because we don t have many Spanish instructors, said Erwin. Hunter education covers the skills, regulations and responsibilities of hunting, wildlife conservation and the outdoors and is mandatory for every hunter, including out of state hunters, born on or after Sept. 2, 1...
