Can hunting endangered animals save the species As well know, some exotic animal species that are endangered in Africa are thriving on ranches in Texas, where a limited number are hunted for a price. Ranchers say they need the income to care for the rest of the herd. Animal rights activists want the hunting to end. In case you missed this interesting piece that aired last night on 60 minutes, you can watch now and please leave your comments. This is a touchy subject for a lot of people and we re really interested to hear your opinions on the subject

Does Hunting Deer With A Silencer Matter To You

I ve been thinking about this proposed regulation that the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is considering allow hunters to use silencers and sound suppressors on rifles to hunt deer. I m not sure how I feel about it. I already use a silenced firearm for whitetails. It s called a bow. The real discussion is about rifles altered so that the sound is mostly silenced or suppressed. None of the silencers I m familiar with are totally silent. And all of them compromise the speed and power of the bullet. When you fire a rifle, the bullet leaves the barrel at something in excess of 1,100 feet per second faster than the speed of sound. That crack you hear is basically a small sonic boom. To eliminate that portion of the noise, the velocity of the bullet has to be reduced within the gun, and that impacts the hunter s effective range. It s a matter of physics. The proposal that Texas Parks and Wildlife commissioners have sent to the Texas Register for public comment actu...

greetings Texas hunters, my name is terry and i am from Texas. thanks for letting me post. i would like to post some on CWD. i have been studying this TSE agent for almost a decade, since the death of my mother to the hvCJD, confirmed. first off, about mad cow disease s as a whole as i call them, we have been lied to for a long time about that. most of it is all political of course, what i call the, God save the industry at all cost mentality, including public health. now i know some will not like what i post, i don t like it either, but these are the facts. cwd transmits in several ways, animal protein feeding is one of them, and new studies are showing that our fears of transmission via salvia and blood and other body fluids are a real threat as well. now some get angry when i start speaking of urine, and i really don t care how much urine or feces one spreads on themselves to get a big buck, but these are the facts as i have come to know them, and i thought some here might w...

Hello, my name is Allan and I am looking to do a hog hunt. I have done deer and fowl but never hog. Hear there is nothing to it and the meat is pretty good if you get one under 150 pounds. Will pay and have friends also interested. Hear of all the damage these animals are doing to ranches, i thought they would be paying hunters to come in and rid their ranches of these animals. I just want to experience it before I go and spend 500 on a lease. Always ready to meet new people so if you have a ranch being tore up by these animals let me know, gladly help you with your problem.
