That is AWESOME!!! I have 4 kids 2 boys and 2 girls. I love it when that go hunting with me, makes me a proud daddy. Is that a hunting blind or at your house?
I was just going to say that is one hell of a hunting stand!!
Just to let the world know,my father built this house on our property 10 miles from town about 15 years ago.. This room is the upstairs bedroom. As you can see he did change the window frames a little bit. If you can see the notches on the rest under her arm there are about 20 or more there. Each one represents a deer shoot out of this window. The other end of the house has another window setup just like this. Easy to stay warm. Hey Jason, good post.Dan
Nothing like hunting in the lap of luxury!
And just so the world knows, my cousin is pictured and she chose to let all the deer walk as she did not see the specific buck that she wanted. She has excellent intellect for her age. Way to go cuz!! I hope he steps out for you next time. Love you! Will
that is awsome and I cant wait till I take my daughter hunting and when she is a little bit older.
Great pic what kind of gun is she shooting!!!
That is my cousins Remington XR100 22-250........ it is one of the few guns we have around that won't kick to hard for her to shoot! By the way...... she can shoot it too!!!
Oh....... Pop used to say all the time............ "I don't even get dressed unless there's one on the ground!" His Legend Will Live On!!!
Please don't call that hunting.
You know leatherneck......someone like you probably thinks that hunting farm raised deer behind a fence is hunting....All of the deer we hunt are free range, wild deer and this place is less than 60 acres. It is bordered by 2 sides by Sam Houston National Forest and anybody that has hunted there can tell you it is one of the toughest public accessable places in Texas to hunt. So for you to say this is not hunting because we have a place that makes it easier for the next generation to get into hunting as a sport is completely wrong!! You are just mad because my 11 year old Daughters deer stand is better than yours!!!!
Dang haters just can't stand a good thing, it's called spending time with your daughter and having fun
If you knew this child, you'd never think she would want to hunt!!! Way to go girl! That's my grandaughter!!! Plush hunting pad or not.........she has the sportsmanship to wait on the deer she wants and not just shoot to shoot.
Leatherneck, all I have to say is you've made Mama Bear very unhappy. And if Mama ain't happy, nobody's happy. So take you and your nasty little, uncalled-for, JEALOUS comment off my baby girl's page! How would you feel if your 11 year old daughter read this type of comment?
For your information, these are wild deer. It's not any different than putting up a deer stand in the woods and throwing a little corn from a feeder.
This is my prissy baby girl who wants to spend time with her daddy and hunt and if you have a problem with that, then you are a sick, deranged individual!
Hey leatherneck you're gettin some pretty bad rap on this one. so i think i'll join in . just to let you know you can't even pass gas and them deer will spook. i was there. my 9 year old daughter killed the spike that hanna past up. so dont tell me that aint hunting.mylittle girl anna wanted some deer JERKy so i told her if she killed a deer we would make it. yah we made it easy on this one. on opening morning of the october youth hunt she stayed in the ground blind for a total of 7 hours hunting puplic land. she has shot almost a hundred rounds to prepare for this one shot.so please tell us What is hunting?ive taken a total of 7 deer this year' three bucks in Texas (2 @13) and 4does in Arkanansas. All off public land. so what have you done
Getting the next generation interested in SPORTSMANSHIP is the best thing you can do for them. To take a child who wants to fish and handing them a fly rod and telling them "good luck" would be wrong. Would be no different than putting a child in a deer stand and not starting at the basics. Thank you TexAr for making hunting fun for your little girl. I guess not everyone ( LEATHERNECK) had a father as good as you to help them get started right.
I think that it's a GREAT day when you help any youngster become interested in our heritage. Please (leatherneck) keep your nrgative comments to yourself. If you don't have something positive to say to a young person then do not say anything at all.Congrats to Mom & Dad for teaching OUR children well.
