the total cost of the protein feeder is less than $40 and it holds about 850#.  i posted a picture of some axis at this feeder a few months ago.

Lots of character in that buck!  Looks like he's been around for a good while too.

Our lease is south of sonora about 20-25 miles and while the rain has certainly been adequate, we did not get that boatload that a lot of the area did receive. We have gotten some lately but that will likely slow movement until we get a good freeze. Our acorn crop wasn't all that great though so maybe things will even out.
