It's not all that uncommon, although I've never see one in the wild. It is called piebald. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piebald

I've seen a piebald buck in the wild...8 point buck, saw him a little less than a month ago..rather old deer too

We've seen a "ti dyed" buck for a couple of years but as he gets older the lighter areas are less noticable.
